Before this on the first day we visited Arieseni Area and Ionele Cave on the second day we visited Scarisoara Ice Cave on the third day we visited Ruginoasa Pit and Bears Cave and on the forth day we visited Lost World

Alive Fire Cave it's a glacier cave from Apuseni Mountains. It's one of the most beautiful cave from these mountains. The glacier from the cave has 25000 cubic meters.

The trail to Alive Fire Cave was relative short and we got there fast. Visits to the cave doesn't have a guide, but you can go by yourself. You should have warm clothes because inside the temperature is around 8-11° Celsius and is windy.

Alive Fire Cave is situated at an altitude of 1120 meters. The cave has a window on top of it and when the sun hits the ice, around 1 PM (depends on the season), ice will reflect the sun and it looks like a fire. For this reason the name of the cave is Alive Fire Cave.

Unfortunately we didn't reach the cave at the right moment in order to see the beauties of the "fire" and that made me sad. :( Actualy this was the only moment of sadness during the Apuseni Mountains travel.

The Galbenei Canion is not recommended to all tourists. They should have resistance, technique and a good equipment.

Galbenei Canion has 9 waterfalls and on the left and right you have one of the most monumental mountains of Romania. Rock walls in some portions are over 400 meters high.

Thank you @lfoote!

epic journey, cant believe there's an actual glacier inside a cave

Yes, it's an interesting process, because this glacier was formed during the last glacial period. and now, slowly (1-2 millimeters on 10 years) is melting.

The mountains are always a fascinating subject. nice job.

Yep, you're right! I'm an addicted mountains traveler. :)

Nice places! I will go there :)
