The Potsdam Square is an huge and important public square and as well a traffic intersection in the new centre of the city of Berlin, in Germany. The square is named after the city of Potsdam, which is around 25 km to the south west from this square. , and marks the point where the old road from Potsdam passed through the city wall of Berlin at the Potsdam Gate.
History
The square was totally laid to waste during World War II and then left desolate during the Cold War era when the Berlin Wall bisected its former location. Since German reunification, Potsdamer Platz has been the site of major redevelopment projects

Than I saw some bars...
... and can‘t escape. I really tried, but the Aussie beer was callin my name and so I had to follow.
Newcastle Brown Ale
I entered the bar and found „The One and Only“ on the beer 🍺 menu and you know what happend.
On one foot you can‘t stand a d after the second the evening is far to young so get the third.
Quite tasty stuff this Newcastle Brown Ale.
Corroboree
The Corroboree is a modern Australian Restaurant which cuisine is a cultural melting pot. The restaurant is inspired by the Aussie lifestyle and a mix of good beef and some nice beers.
Berlin is always worth a visit
Even if Potzdamer Platz a more or less touristy area, it is a nice visit and just next to the huge Berlin Film 🎥 festival shows some cool movies. But Me and my three Newcastle brown ales went home for a sleep as next day some work is waiting.

It certainly is a colourful place. The structure over the square looks massive. And the perfect place for a beer or two. A long way from Australia though. How much of a range of Aussie beers can you get there?
They only had a few beers on the menu. But at least some....
They redevelopment that place pretty good, I have heard (like you have said) that it really was ruined. You took some nice photos, it must have looked great seeing them live.
They can be like devilish mermaids sometimes :)
I am happy to see you had a nice time with your photo making and beer drinking activities, it has been a while since my last visit to Berlin, I have to go soon, a vacation is in order anyway, maybe it will be on my list.
