Hello fellow Steemians,

I hope you are all having a great day! :) As usually, I am here with my daily photo challenge where you can submit your personal images from your travels to Prague and other locations in the Czech Republic in the comment section below.

The best 15 entries of the day will get my upvote. I will then pick the absolute winner of the day from these 15 photos. The winning photo will be awarded with a bigger upvote and it will also be featured as the cover image for the challenge post the next day to give the author of the winning shot some more exposure and publicity.

Don’t forget to add a short background story for your entry with at least 30 words and let me just remind you one more time that only personal images will be accepted in the challenge.

There were many great entries submitted in the yesterday Prague/Czech Republic photo challenge and I had a hard time picking the best one. After a deliberate consideration, however, I decided to choose the following entry by @liltammy:

Night view of a beautiful gigantic Christmas tree that was built on the Old Town Square in Prague a couple of years ago. The impressive gothic tower in the background is the Old Town Hall Tower, one of the dominants of the square.

I am a great lover of Gothic architecture. There is a lot of it in Prague, probably partly for this reason I like it so much here. St. Vitus Cathedral is one of the most impressive buildings in the Gothic style, not only in Prague, but throughout Europe.
The cathedral struck, stunned, delighted! So it was in both my visits to this place. There are not enough words to convey the sensations of the greatness and beauty of this place. Even if you are in Prague for just a couple of days, I highly recommend visiting St. Vitus Cathedral.

Absolutely agreed. It definitely should be on anyone's list visiting Prague. Thank you for your participation and have a great day.

Prague usually does not get much snow in winter but when it happens and the city gets covered in snow, it gives the place a very special, somewhat magical feel. I took this image while walking along the Vltava River a few years ago.

The change of guards in the Castle of Prague is a military ceremony that takes place whenever there is change of shift. It is initiated at the gates of Castle, and afterwards the guards march to their garrison. This photo was taken during this activity.

The building is gymnasium in Uherské Hradiště. The roof can be little bit familiar to you because the inspiration is from our National Theater in Prague. The gymnasium is very popular for all young people in South Moravia but I didn’t study there.

Church of St. Peter and Paul in the village of Hosín near České Budějovice. The original Romanesque church from 1260-1280 was incorporated into a Gothic church demolished in 1898. The current building is pseudoroman built in 1900.

This building is not very interesting. But its story is interesting. It was built between 1972 and 1980 and was the largest building ever built in Czechoslovakia.
2500 employees worked there. They manually switched calls. In about ten years from building, the building was completely useless. Only a little bigger computer replaced all employees.
The building should be demolished in 2022. Its operation is too expensive.
