Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of South America.

See the winner of the last week´s South American Saturday @jpphotography with the following entry:

Laguna Verde in Uyuni, Bolivia. Some travellers visit the Uyuni salt lake only as a day trip, but miss out on the surreal landscapes of Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve nearby. The "green lagoon" Laguna Verde with snow-capped volcanoes in the background is only one of many attractions in this area.

Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 SBD in total.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #91 - winner announcement!

@jpphotography Asian Sunday entry:

Hiking in Wadi Rum, Jordan. Many people visit Wadi Rum, the most beautiful desert of Jordan, only on a Jeep tour, but there are some beautiful, if hard to find treks. Since my shoes were soaked from a rainy morning in Amman, I decided to go for a walk in my flip-flops, but they broke on the way and I ended up scrambling over these rocks barefoot!

Composite image of a bio luminescent wave crashing on the shores of Nelsons Beach in Jervis Bay and a close-up of the Milky Way core. Both photo's were taken on the same night however the core had risen much higher by the time I managed to capture this wave crashing. The sky is 25 photo's stacked for noise reduction and the foreground is a single image.

@vcclothing African Wednesday entry:

Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe is one of the natural world wonders and also the world's biggest waterfall. I took this shot when it was only at 20% water flow, so you could just imagine it at 100% water flow. Such an amazing place to visit.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - European Thursday week #91 - winner announcement!

@garielatravels European Thursday entry:

What makes so special this place is not that it's literally on the edge of my country (Romania) and from the peak I could see Ukraine, but the shape of the lake is also my country's shape, which I call a real bliss. :) The Iezer Lake, Maramures, Romania.

@oldmans North American Friday entry:

This was taken around Easter on our return trip home from a visit to the west side of the Cascade Mountain Range. We are near the small town of Dufur, OR. looking west at Mt Hood. This area is comprised of rolling hills covered in mostly wheat fields. Photos taken by me with a Nikon D3300 and CPL filter with some Lightroom post processing.

Last sun rays of the day penetrating through the mist high up in the Colombian Andes during a beautiful golden hour evening. I took this shot while traveling from Salento to Medellin some 2 months ago.

Bogota is the capital of Colombia. As of 2009, more than 7 million people live in Bogota, which makes it the largest city in Colombia. This makes it the third highest capital in the world. With many universities and libraries, Bogotá has become known as "The Athens of South America".

Colonial Buildings in Sucre, Bolivia

The beautiful white historic churches and houses of Bolivias capital city are name-giving to the "city white as sugar". While nearby Potosi grew to become the richest city in the entire world due to its huge silver mine, the Spanish colonial masters preferred Sucre over the dusty mining town and invested some of their silver to erect these impressive buildings before sending the rest to Spain.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Playa Mansa, my usual place in Lecherias, Anzoátegui state, Venezuela. It caught my attention this time that the sun was hiding on the right side of the site and when I look to the left side I realize that this cloud was fully illuminated as I had a sun behind and ask me, but how is this? If the sun is hiding far away, what illuminated this cloud? Could it be that we have two soles? Is that this cloud was in the opposite direction to the sun. What a thing ... That's why I did not photograph the sunset and if I did it with this cloud that I could observe from Mansa beach. Venezuela.

Nature always giving us good moments to enjoy, relax and know different places with good view to delight us. From this point you can see some islands that make up the Anzoátegui State and one of the largest cement companies in Venezuela.
This photo was taken in the Altos de Santa Fe. Anzoátegui. Venezuela.

I loved my trip through the mountains of Argentina. I would go back anytime. The air is fresh, but it is not cold. The mountains are aride, but we still see beautiful vegetation. There is so much road choice that you are realy unlucky if you meet somebody on the road.
