Hello fellow Steemians!
It is my great pleasure to announce the winner of 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - South American Saturday. I would like to say huge thank you to all the participants for their great entries. The number of entries yesterday was very good with many high-quality images so it was extremely hard to decide on the winning one. I encourage you to check the entries as they really were all stunning.
You can see all entries and participants in this post: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - South American Saturday week #50 - the absolute winner takes 200 SBD!
Please give a huge shout out to the best ten competitors for taking part in the challenge and sharing their photos and experience with all of us here on Steemit:
It would be great if you can visit their blogs and appreciate their awesome photography skills with some upvotes.
However, the winner is only one and that is for me picture posted by @jman27 with the following entry:
Cartagena, Colombia is the most beautiful city in South America and most pictures are of course of the historic center but you can get some pretty good views looking towards the modern neighborhood of Bocagrande.
What a great contribution from @jman27 to the photo challenge! I have visited @jman27 and upvoted his post called Sunrise in Manaure. @jman27 amazing entry from Colombia is qualifying for the weekly challenge where it will be competing against the previous and upcoming winners of the week:
@rinawonderlands Asian Sunday entry:
This is one of a beautiful sunrise i had when i was in Gili Trawangan island, a small island near Lombok. No cars, no bike is allowed in this island. But unfortunately we can't go visit the island for a while now, since the earthquake hit Lombok last month. Many building were damaged, and all the people were evacuated from the island for their safety.
@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:
Standing on the edge of this rock, hanging above the void! This is a stunning place to visited in Australia, "The Balconies" is located in the Grampians National park, the scenery is spectacular and if you are looking for a thrill, dare to stand on the edge!
@bluebottlefilms Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
The way the light hits the ice in Antarctica can create some pretty unique colours. But when it’s overcast, often the icebergs can come across a beautiful vibrant blue that really stand out against there surroundings.
@dali-gis African Wednesday entry:
Douz Tunisia. Explore the Sahara desert in Tunisia on a camel trek at sunset from Douz. During this private tour, you will ride by camel in the dunes of Douz and climb to the top of the dune for a panoramic view of the desert. On the way back to Douz, you can stop to admire this beautiful view.
@vinceboisgard European Thursday entry:
The view is just splendid! The sun is slowly setting down behind the hills and the sky turns into fire. Spain is the a very good place to relax under the warm weather while sipping on a cold beer as you are witnessing Nature's beauty!
@travelshots North American Friday entry:
This is one of my favourite shots of Toronto's skyline that I took from the Toronto Islands. I used an ND-Filter to make the water look smooth and silky. In combination with the colour key it looks almost like the city is floating on a big cloud.
The winner of the weekly challenge will be selected by you based on the dollar value of this post and then entered to a monthly and possibly yearly challenge on the way to win the price of 200 SBD in total. You can give @jman27 your support by upvoting this winner announcement post.
My next challenge is coming shortly: Asian Sunday. Get your pictures ready! :)
