Hello fellow Steemians!
It is my great pleasure to announce the winner of South American Saturday. I would like to say huge thank you to all the participants for their great entries. The number of entries yesterday was very good with many high-quality images so it was extremely hard to decide on the winning one. I encourage you to check the entries as they really were all stunning.
You can see all entries and participants in this post: 7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - South American Saturday week #47 - the absolute winner takes 200 SBD!
Please give a huge shout out to the best ten competitors for taking part in the challenge and sharing their photos and experience with all of us here on Steemit:
It would be great if you can visit their blogs and appreciate their awesome photography skills with some upvotes.
However, the winner is only one and that is for me picture posted by @jpphotography with the following entry:
Cows in the Andes, Ecuador. Hiking to the El Altar crater lake was one of the most challenging hikes that I have done, but I was rewarded with beautiful views over the Andean landscape. These cows seemed to like the views as well!
What a great contribution from @jpphotography to the photo challenge! I have visited @jpphotography blog and upvoted his post called Visiting Mahar Aung Myay: Mandalay's Jade Market. @jpphotography amazing entry from Ecuador is qualifying for the weekly challenge where it will be competing against the previous and upcoming winners of the week:
@vcclothing Asian Sunday entry:
I was exploring the caves in Petra Jordan were people used to live and I came across this one cave that had a window with a awesome view. I was there during winter so it was cold out side but surprisingly inside the caves was alot warmer. Petra is an amazing place to explore! So many cool caves to check out.
@vinceboisgard Australian Monday entry:
Burning sunset over the Beagle Gulf, as every night the landscape turns into an incredible scenery of thousand colours. Darwin is a magical place for sunset sighting and every day the end of the day is just mind-blowing... I loved it!
@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:
Coming back to frozen Baltic Sea and amazing views which you could see during very cold and very calm periods of winter. Very low shooting angle and very wide angle lens again bringing quite unusual overall perspective for the scenery. Enjoy the scenery!
@jpphotography African Wednesday entry:
Camels in the Sahara. On the last day of my trip to the Sahara, our guide readied the camels early in the morning. To give the camels a rest, we all agreed on walking back to Merzouga instead of risking another bumpy ride.
@mibreit-photo European Thursday entry:
Here I have a fresh photo from the Austrian Alps. I took it last weekend on a hiking trip in the Stubai Valley. It was a wonderful calm morning. After thick clouds had still obscured this view throughout the night I was very happy to wake up at 4am to a clear sky. It was pure magic.
@irvinesimages North American Friday entry:
Its Just A Beautiful Day. Blue skies, white clouds and the magnificent Cathedral Rock are seen here in perfect balance of natural elements. Earth air and water combined with exceptional light created this visual feast. Please enjoy this marvelous scene from Sedona Arizona USA.
The winner of the weekly challenge will be selected by you based on the dollar value of this post and then entered to a monthly and possibly yearly challenge on the way to win the price of 200 SBD in total. You can give @jpphotography your support by upvoting this winner announcement post.
My next challenge is coming shortly: Asian Sunday. Get your pictures ready! :)
