Photo captured during the sunset over Lake Livingston in Trinity Texas, with a working dog sitting and waiting patiently for her owners to return. No swimming in the glassy-smooth water for her, because when the sun goes down... the alligators come out looking to feast. Thank you.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #36 - winner announcement!

@jayclar30 Australian Monday entry:

This is Natural Bridge but is sometimes called Natural Arch. It is a stunning waterfall found in Springbrook National Park in Queensland, Australia. I was blessed the day we visited, we had been there for a little while and I had already taken a heap of photos but then the sun found an area through the trees to shine through making my photos all the better. The reflection from the sun on the water was reflecting up onto the roof of the cave highlighting it's fabulous textures and colours.

@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

Next frame from "Endangered Species" series. Pretty long exposure shot of a beautiful sunset at the Baltic Sea coast, nearby the gates to the port of Klaipeda. Pretty stormy skies, but still with touch of colors from the dawning sun at the horizon. A long piece of wood as a perfect foreground leading the eye to the endless sea. Enjoy the scenery!

A marvelous feat of engineering and a photographers delight. This is Puente Nuevo and its surrounding area. A majestic 200+-year-old structure with beautiful views on both sides from the top of the structure, begging to be photographed. A must see if you're in the area around Ronda, in Andalusia (Spain).

Bixby Bridge, California

The famous Bixby Bridge along the CA1 State Road is worth a stop for sure! Opened in 1932 it's build in an Art-Deco style and is about 220 m long. You have the chance to stop in the south of the bridge like we did. You can also stop right in the north of the bridge or drive away from the water to the interior of the country to catch the bridge from a different angle as well.

This is the Pyramid of Kukulcán in the ancient Mayan city Chichén Itzá in Yucatan, Mexico. It was one of the most important Mayan cities. In 2007 it was voted to one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Unfortunately it is now visited by a lot of tourists, so be sure to come very early in the morning.

Amazing photo once again :)
Great angle...

Thank you, from this angle you don't see all the other tourists walking around ;)

What a splendid image! Thank you so much and have a great day. Tomas

Gret capture, I love the low angle point of view this is genius!

On the photo below you can see one of many amazing USA State Parks. This one is located in Utah and I have visited it on my first trip to USA in 2014. There is a funny anecdote from this year’s Utah visit, when we also planned to visit it, but then we realized just few miles before the park, that we don’t have enough fuel and turn around. We came back to Moab’s gas station with fuel for only 4 miles left. So it was a smart decision at the end 😃

What a great place! Wouldn´t have liked getting stuck there though:)....

Sunrise in the Bighorn Mountains outside of Buffalo, Wyoming. It was gray and overcast in town but we left anyway and once we got into the mountains a little we have beautiful views and I saw the sun rising just above these clouds here.

I really have to get up early sometimes to see things like this in my life:)....

Umauma Falls, Big Island, Hawaii
The Umauma Falls can be found on the Umauma River on the Big Island of Hawaii, approximately 16 miles north of Hilo. They are easily viewed from a terrasse located on private botanical garden property accessible for a small fee.

Thank you so much for your wonerful contribution.

The Wild West.

Thorny wildflowers and teepees in northwestern Wyoming near Little Big Horn. On a recent road trip with my elder son we encountered some road side attractions along with the typical tourist traps.

These we found particularly interesting and a rare sight today even in the Wild West of America.

Wonderful entry. Thank you so much for your contribution. Tomas

Taken last Fall when we were driving thru Jasper National Park on our way back home to Edmonton, that was our last view of the park until our winter trip, It was a perfect ending. Just before the sunset, the herd comes out to eat at this location.

What a wonderful shot! Thank you so much for sharing.

Placid Lake Powell

Calm and peaceful the shoreline of Lake Powell is over 2000 miles long, more miles than the entire west coast of the US. The area is full of hidden canyons and amazing rock formations. Lake Powell is a man made reservoir and is held back by the Glen Canyon Dam. Arizona and Utah.

What a tremendous place and image. Thank you so much for that.

Time square... one of the reasons why New York is known as the city that never sleeps. It is like the Christmas of advertising but in this case, Christmas is every day!
It is also the home of many very cool shows.

View from Koba Pyramid, Yucatan

Have you ever dreamed about reliving the adventures of Indiana Jones and climbing an ancient Maya pyramid? While the popular pyramids at Chichen Itza are closed for climbing, climbing is completely legal at some other Maya ruins in Yucatan such as the huge Koba pyramid!
