The iron lady! Built for a universal exhibition and meant to be dismantled right after, it still standing today and is the most visited monument in the world. I tend to forget about but everytime I drive pass by it, I'm amazed by the monument :)

@roadtrips Asian Sunday entry:

Yulong River, Yangshuo. Staying by the Yulong river in Yangshuo is so relaxing. The landscape is really amazing and in the evening when there are no bamboo rafts on the river you will have it for your own.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #64 - winner announcement!

@betterthanhome Australian Monday entry:

Lamington National Park, Australia. Just recently we´ve spent a weekend in the Lamington Nationalpark in the Gold Coast hinterland. This shot isn´t from the Nationalpark but from our accommodation just a stone throw away. We had the perfect view on the sunset from or little cabin.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #64 – winner announcement!

@vinceboisgard Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

I've seen places you won't believe it exists and Indonesia is one of them. I loved hanging out in Uluwatu beach for the sunset, watching the last surfer in the water riding incredible waves as the sky turned into purple tones... Heaven definitely exist :)

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #64 - winner announcement!

@axeman African Wednesday entry:

Four. Pretty well known combination of one large and three small pyramids - a part of famous pyramids of Giza, Egypt. Shot at noontime, but quite cloudy winter day two years ago with a tele-photo lens. From the left you can see the city of Giza. Actually shot through the window of moving bus, so final result not so bad indeed. Enjoy the scenery :)

Considered one of the finest examples of Polish Gothic architecture, the St. Mary´s Basilica in Krakow is easily recognizable by its two towers that look as if they were built in different architectural eras and they are not even of the same height. While I am not a big fan of horse carriages in cities (since the animals are often mistreated), I must admit they go well with the unique, somewhat fairytale-like atmosphere of this charming historic city.

This is the most famoust giant tree I have ever seen, an iconic natural landmark of Tenerife, a giant dracanea known as El Drago. It is also one of the largest and oldest living trees on Earth, which is located just outside of Puerto de la Cruz.

Rotterdam Erasmus Bridge

Can I introduce you to “The Swan”? This bridge it's real name is the Erasmus Bridge named after the Humanist Erasmus. Making it one of the most famous objects build in the city. Since its completion in 1996 the bridge towers high above the river the Meuse in Rotterdam.

Great to see you back with that image accompanied with a proper description. Thank you so much.

Breathtaking capture. Congrats :)

One more shot from Greece by me!
It is from Antipaxos island, a small paradise of turquoise crystal clear waters, sandy beaches and thriving vegetation! You can find it at the Ionian sea, 2 miles south of Paxos and you can be there in 15 minutes with a sea taxi from the port of Gaios!

And the post.

Stop posting such a great images of beaches:)...... it's so grey and gloomy over here right now...

My ideal dream would be to live in a house far from big cities, being surrounded by nature and consider the surrounding landscape as my garden. I found such places while visiting Spain and this could week be the place!

Location: Spain.

We have the same dream then :) Stunning landscape shot!

Thanks for the compliment :)
May our dreams comes true!

Nice dream to have! Nice view also @vinceboisgard😎

Thanks for dreaming with us and for the compliment :)

Hmmm, that would be an awesome place to live.

Gates to Sunrise

Stunning early morning colors at the coast of Cyprus. The main beach of Larnaca, nearby Old Castle.
Remains of some old pier and very nice patterns on the sand made by incoming waves.
Very low shooting point and quite a long exposure to freeze the waves a bit

Enjoy it!

Papagailis
At the back one can spot a spire on which a rooster sits. In Latvian rooster is called Papagailis. The spire belongs to the Cathedral of Riga which dates back to 13th century. Roosters on top of the spires is a common sight and represent St Peter's betrayal of Jesus.

I have also shared this story on my blog.

At first glimpse I was thinking it's an image from Prague. Thank you for sharing.

That is a reason to visit Prague! You have been passionately sharing some amazing images representing the Czech Republic and Prague, and it makes me want to visit it so much! I love Riga, and there is no other place like Riga, and I am yet to find a competitor! 😉

In the picture you can see the Cathedral Duomo St. Mary in Pisa. I took the picture from the leaning tower. The running in the tower was not so easy due to the sloping.

It´s a winter time and the best time to show some pictures from European winter destination. I took this picture in Passo del Tonale (Italy) when I was skiing there. Freezing sunset in 3000 above the sea level. It´s a great place between Lombardy and Trentino where you can skiing and enjoy a winter holiday.

OH, I cannot wait to go skiing...

An old windmill by the road and the sea. My first trip to Corsica, "The Isle of Beauty", was a roadtrip. There are plenty of beautiful roads to drive along the sea or trough the mountain.
