Location_ Bannalpsee in Switzerland. Last weekend I finally went to a place I´ve got on my bucketlist fo a long time already. We had perfect weather, and not too warm. While in the rest of Switzerland most people had 30 degrees and more we enjoyed 23 degrees on our highest point (2400 m). The highlight of the refreshment was a short swim in the lake, after about 6 hours of hiking - perfect sunday, isn´t it?

Only use of personal images will be accepted and only one picture can be submitted for a daily photo challenge. Ten winning photos will receive a bigger upvote from me and ten runners-up will get a smaller one.

Chosen from the ten winning entries, the absolute winner of the day will receive extended publicity in my post tomorrow morning. I will also visit his/her blog to upvote one of the most recent posts. The winning picture of the daily challenge will then automatically enter other rounds with the absolute winner gaining approximately 200 Steem in total.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #100 - winner announcement!

@dboontje Asian Sunday entry:

This is Lake Ala Kol in Kyrgyzstan. You'll find this lake high up in the mountains near the city Karakol. A lot of people make the effort to hike up all the way up and see the blueness of this glacier lake. To us it was breathtaking.

A drone view of the volcanic lagoons of the coast of Iceland. The coastlines of Iceland can be harsh and ugly or beautiful and peaceful depending on where you go and when you visit. The volcanic nature of some areas give rise to unique environments, such as this.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – African Wednesday week #100 – winner announcement!

@axeman African Wednesday entry:

Moon Connection. Perfect and almost Marsian view passing up the Nile from Luxor to Aswan on a small cruise ship.
The right place and right moment to catch the Moon and the Mosque almost at same line, showing their connection to each other... Stunning a bit reddish colors of sunset adds a lot of drama. Enjoy it!

View of a part of the Grassalkovich Palace, a large palace in Bratislava and the official residence of the president of Slovakia. Situated on the Hodza Square, the building is a Rococo-Baroque summer palace with a beautiful French garden.

Each year, with a group of friends, we spend about a week in huts at the shores of the amazing Dospat water reservoir at the magical Rhodope Mountain in the Southern part of Bulgaria.

There is really something mystical and unexplainable (is there such a word? :) ) about that place as I can feel every time my "batteries" charging up to the max there. Moreover, I couldn't stop myself from returning over and over to the place. The silence, the divine Nature and the amazing views... unforgettable! <3

Here I made a long-exposure night photo capturing both the camp-fire we are enjoying and the summer sky Milky Way. I love that photo of mine :) I hope you do too!

This is the Olt river's Gorge crossing the Carpathians, a road which I travel quite often. It is one of the most spectacular roads in Romania, which is a good thing because it's always crowded.

This is a small hidden rivulet in Kent, Garden of England, United Kingdom. Rivulet is publicly accessible. Water is crystal clear and ice cold. Nice place to sit a have a rest. :) R&M

Scandinavian Architecture in Norway

Mandal, a small town in Southern Norway, is not visited by a lot of tourists, but if it was, I am sure that it would be known as the "white city". I ended up in this beautiful town by accident when I got dropped off when hitchhiking.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

Underneath the water fall, staying fresh. Last year while I went to the Mont Dore, in the center of France, I went walking to the water fall near Mont Dore. The day was hot, and it was the perfect hike to refresh yourself.

Columbus_Columnus_001_s.jpg

The Columbus Monument in Barcelona situated where La Rambla (a famous central boulevard with a broad alley for pedestrians...and shops, and restaurants...) meets the Spanish harbor where the explorer returned to Europe after his first expedition to the Americas. The column is 60 m tall and has lots of nice detail. But here I try to show its silhouette along with the crowns of the trees of the boulevard, as inspired by local painters.

This brings me some great memories.

I was in Barcelona in 2 consecutive years in 2003 and 2004.
And I absolutely fell in love with that city.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to visit it again. Perhaps some day in the future...

It must have been less populated, and quite cleaner. Talking about touristic infrastructure, too. One can't see a pristine place without some railings or even people building more stuff around.

Welcome in Spain, exactly at Melilla, where many colonial buildings are still kept in good condition. Many colors during the night, perfect for a longexposure photography ! Enjoy !

And we are again in Kranjska Gora to enjoy second part of our vacation.
I am always having a really great time in Kranjska Gora. I was more sea person over mountain, but nowadays I that already changed. This air here is amazing, so you can breathe with full lungs.!

Alien Species

Another view from some unexplored Planet with strange local form of life...

In fact it's amazing and pretty well known Salt Lake in Larnaca Cyprus on stunningly colorful sunset.
Hot summer evening, but looks like lake covered by ice.

Very low shooting point and wide angle lens as usual landscape set

Enjoy it!
