Shot with long tele-photo lens from upper deck of cruise ship while travelling up the Nile from Luxor to Aswan. Indeed was quite lucky to have full moon this evening just risen over the mountains, which at same time richly colored by dawning sun. Pure Mars landscape... Enjoy the scenery :).

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #44 - winner announcement!

@crazy-andy Asian Sunday entry:

We get up early one day in the middle of last year’s September and it definitely paid off with good morning view on Mount Bromo in Indonesia. This volcano is still an active one and it has huge cultural influence on Indonesian people. Would say that sunrise at Mt. Bromo is a must see in traveler life

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Australian Monday week #44 - winner announcement!

@davedavis91 Australian Monday entry:

"Life on Rottnest" Imagine Paradise.... What do you see? Beach, Water, ocean, crystal clear water... If this is your imagination, than here you go: Go to Rottnest Island on the shores off Perth, Western Australia. This Island is home to the weirdest Rat-Kangaroo species called the quokka. A cute and tiny something all over the island. Snorkelling, swimming, and quite peaceful hang out place. Shot with my Nikon D5300.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans week #44 - winner announcement!

@axeman Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

At first sight the view is very similar to Norway, Northern Canada or Alaska. But nope, this is Baltic Sea during pretty cold period of time, maybe week or two. The coast starts to be frozen with some nice ice formations on the stones
The shot is done early morning on sunrise with a soft warm colors pushing through overall cold blue. And the boat with two fishermen in bright red coasts was just at right time and right place :) A bit of long exposure added. Enjoy it!

While this isn't the official national bird, the marabou stork is considered the unofficial bird of Uganda. The photo is a bit deceptive because these storks are tall, nearly 5 feet! I was slightly afraid of getting too close but luckily there was a gate there offering me protection just in case. This is right along the shores of Lake Victoria in Kampala, Uganda where these storks are very plentiful!

It's amazing to see endless white sand dunes and I loved the fact that we got there just in time to watch the sunset! It is magic ! I will never forget this experience!
How can something be ranked higher than it exceeds me. I can not wait to go back and have to live it for even longer next time.

Sahara Desert, Merzouga (Morocco)
I took this picture on my travel through Morocco on the new years eve 2016/2017. The location was south/east of Morocco in Merzouga, an small village besides the desert on the algerian boarder. I still cant find the right words I could say about the saharan desert, it was just magic and definitely the most peaceful and silent place i have ever been to in my life. If you ever have the chance to go there - do it !

Camels in the Sahara, Morocco

When I got up early in the morning to capture the sun rising over the Sahara, the camels were already awake and our guide readied them for our departure back to civilisation.

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

20150723_082104.jpgDrakensberg Mountains, Blyde River Canyon, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
The Blyde River Canyon, officially the Motlatse Canyon is a significant natural feature of South Africa, located in Mpumalanga, and forming the northern part of the Drakensberg escarpment. Located in the Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve, it is approximately 25 kilometres in length. And a very beautiful place to visit.

What a splendid nature!

Even though the lion is sometimes referred to as the " King of the jungle", it actually only lives in grasslands and plains. We found this lion in Chobe National Park, Botswana. What a strong and beautiful animal.

Travelling up the Nile from Luxor to Aswan actually nothing much happens, mainly pure nature, palms and mountains. Sometimes you can see some fishermen in small boats, sometimes passing by small but nice colorful villages.
Here is one of such shot with long tele-photo lens straight from the upper deck of a cruise ship

Golden Nile.. so means golden colors everywhere

Enjoy the scenery :)

In Kenya we can see many wild animals in their natural environment, where they are cared for by all citizens for their biological preservation and also many tourists come to Africa to meet these wonderful animals, in the photo we can see a majestic elephant that We found it on a jeep safari ride.

What an image this is. The sand dunes and the stone hills look great. Perhaps the thing most enjoyable is the fabulous moon hanging out there in the sky. Thanks for sharing. @axeman , your entry was fantastic. Heart touching photography.

very nice view dear
