I'm officially a travel content creator - TIS summit Marrakech [Day 1]

It's now day 1 as a travel content creator. Two weeks ago I sent in my official resignation at my old job as a mechanical project engineer. I sat out the 2 weeks of resignation and then it was time to wave my coworkers goodbye as I set on this new journey. I'm going to set out and fulfil my dream. My dream is to travel the world and create content. It's what I have been willing to do since my final year in University College. Now I have saved up enough money to finally make this dream come through. Right now I am on the plane to Marrakech.

I'm going to attend a summit for travel writers, bloggers and influencers. This summit looks very promising and it got me excited for months now! The summit is called TIS Marrakech, which is organised by Trablin. https://trablin.com/tis-marrakech/

Summit

The summit involves 10 speakers, 9 masterclasses, a welcome night gala, 3 free to choose pre-tours and food&drinks. Now that's a lot included! The summit will be held in a really gorgeous hotel. This is the first time I'm going to attend a summit of this magnitude and I'm very excited to meet fellow travelers with the same passion to create content. I hope to learn a lot in these sessions.

Pre tours

There are a lot of pre tours in the week before the event. The entry ticket includes 3 free to choose tours out of the bunch. I have signed up for an evening street food tour, which will be on Tuesday evening. I'm very curious about the morrocan cuisine. The day after that I will attend a tour to the ouzoud falls, which will be a full day and on Thursday morning I'm going to do a city tour through Marrakech. This is definitely a new way of traveling for me. I very rarely go on organised tours like this and specially don't book too far in advance. Usually I do a free walking tour or some cool events hosted by the hostel, but that's about it. I manage pretty well planning everything myself including transportation to and from sights and just explore what I please and listen to recommendations from fellow travellers.

Content Creation

In my freetime, when I'm not attending events and I'm free to explore, I'll be creating content for my instagram page. Which is really exciting as I finally have the time to let all my creativity out. I'm experimenting with videos and vlogging too, but this is still in early stages and vlogging in public places is really challenging and scary. I hope to overcome this so I can keep everyone updated with my adventures. I sure hope to meet some vloggers on the event so I can get some tips from the pro's
