Every day provides us with opportunities to celebrate. Today I invite you to celebrate Zipper!

Appreciation and the Zipper

It’s National Zipper Day!
Here’s the message I wish to convey.

Show zippers some love,
give them the appreciation they are worthy of.

It’s a common item we take for granted.
Here’s the seed I want to be planted,

in your mind,
if you look you’ll find,

it’s the everyday things in life,
like this amazing device,

we never think about twice.
So, I hope to entice,

you to just ponder and look,
at this fastener without and eye and hook.

It really helps us out,
Without a doubt.

It keeps our pants from falling down,
certainly, that would make you frown.

We zip our backpacks to assure,
our items are secure.

Before going out in a storm,
we zip our jackets to keep us warm.

Here’s the kicker,
we only notice a broken zipper!

Then we say a prayer,
that Google will provide a repair!

So, be thankful for the everyday things,
rejoice in the ease of life they bring!
