My tradition upon arrival at the parque principal, is to drink a Jeep coffee. So much so that the Señora is starting to recognize me as that gringa who shows up on Tuesday's. I was so tired today that it took two cappuccinos to perk me up - tonight I will try to get to bed early, but I don't see that happening.

Today is the halfway point for season 2 of The Diary Game - where people around the world find creative ways to share a deeper story about their lives and cultures and everyone gets paid for "upvotes" (or likes).

Dear Diary - I drink a lot of coffee

It is that roasted elixir made from Colombian thunder beans that brings me to life every morning. The smell of coffee always puts a smile on my face. Knowing that what I drink was grown within 100 miles of where I live, is also special. Much of the food we eat every day comes from local farms only minutes from the city where I live. Tropical fruits, cold climate vegetables and rainforest exotics are always easy to find at small neighborhood "revuelterias," or general convenience stores.

This morning I skipped exercise, I was too tired. Tomorrow I will stay home and catch up on other writing projects, maybe catch a nap to compensate for all the puppy mothering. Someone pointed out that I constantly mention our new dog. He's such a cute little guy, and so smart - dare we say I fell in love? Maybe. Been resisting this for years after I had to get rid of my last dog and the horses due to economic hardships.

Lunch passed by in a blur, I had taken a picture or so I thought. Nope, nothing.

At 1:30 PM, I went to Villamaria to teach an English student after my customary cup of coffee at the main plaza. I arrived home from that at 6:30, with enough time to sit and hammer out this post. By now, I am juggling getting my son dressed for bed, spending quality time with him and finishing up my Steemit post.

It is now 7:44, and I must take care of my first priority - spending time with my son when possible. Time to read a book and then get tucked in to sleep.
