THE DIARY GAME : (31/08/2020) : Hidden Gem - Underrated Place to Visit : Huta Ginjang

How's everything going? Sorry for being disappeared this past week huhu..
I do miss writing and updating on this platform so so much. I've been so busy lately doing a lot of things in my town and I got no signal there. Long story short, all is done and I've decided for having a short getaway before I go back home. We all know these days are kinda frustrated and I'm feeling like I've lost myself due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since the government suggests us to avoid public place and do social distancing, I decided to go to the underrated place that is less-visited by people. So, today I'm going to one of the best underrated places to visit called "Huta Ginjang". It's located in Muara sub-district, North Sumatera. It's a peak place where you can get the best view of the largest lake in Southeast Asia, Toba Lake. Beside that, you can find another awesome tourism place to explore around there such as Prayer Hill, Sipinsur, etc.

This is the first picture that makes me fall in love at first sight with this place and feeling so excited to go there.

We went earlier this morning and during the trip, I've imagined how great it is to chill up there all day and staring at the view. But...... guess what? Unfortunately, it's just a daydream because what we got was foggy everywhere 😭😭😭

As soon as we arrived, they applied the COVID-19 protocol. We need to wear a mask, wash our hands, and do temperature checking before we enter the place. Even though it's foggy, I tried to enjoy the moment and breathe the fresh air. Really, it feels like throwing away all of the troubles and I almost feel like myself again. This is the kind of place that we really need during this pandemic for sure. Sometimes, you need to take a break, deep breath, and telling yourself that everything is gonna be alright.

We chill and enjoy the atmosphere until the air feels colder and freezing, also the rain is about to come, so we go back and search for hotel around there to stay for a night before we continue our trip.

As the closure, this place is recommended if you're seeking for freshness, peacefulness and you want to take a break for a while from the hustle and bustle of the city. A little tips, I suggest you to go there when the weather is clear so you could enjoy the whole amazing view of Lake Toba.
