What to expect as a follower of "#TheDashGuy"; Whats my goal on Steemit? What do I want to write about? What subjects am I knowledgable in?
Seeing as we finally have a wonderful follower and feed setup going on, I might as well state my intentions with Steemit for all my followers and/or perspective followers to read.

1. I am a Nerd. I like Videogames, Web/Graphic Design Cryptocurrencies, Technology, Outdoors, Football, Basketball & some good music.
I have long since been a fan of videogames, dating back to my youngest years growing up watching my dad play classics such as Counter Strike, MedEvil, Final Fantasy, Xenoblade, Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Gaia and so on, I have always had a love for the gaming world and always find myself sucked back in very quickly.
To balance out my video game addiction, I turn to things like technology, the great PNW outdoors, Cryptocurrencies & Sports. Among those I rely heavily on the NFL Season for my yearly entertainment and I cannot tell you how stoked I am Football is around the corner again... best believe there will be Seahawks content on Steemit in the following weeks. Loads of it. GoHawks!
Oh and I've been doing web design, graphic design & marketing for over 10 years.
2. I live in Washington State, and love to share my home state with the world via photos and blog posts.
I have lived in a few states in my 26 years on this planet, but since I was 10 years old I have lived in the wonderful State of Washington, and I couldn't imagine calling anywhere else home. This place is a wonderful blend of lush forests, fresh creeks, rivers, lakes, huge mountains & thousands upon thousands of trails, places to visit and cool smoke spots & so on. 3. I am not a writer, just an opinionated guy who speaks his mind freely. I care not for grammar, or feelings. :p
I might occasionally offend you, your mother, sister and/or grandson. I do not mind this, as we are on the internet and on the internet, there is no room for "sugar-coating" it, communicating through text can often times be confusing and I find cutting through all the bullshit really helps get the messages across faster, more efficiently. So let me apologize right now, if I ever offend you online, get over it. Everyone has an opinion, you are entitled to yours, and I am entitled to mine.
4. I might circle jerk sometimes, just because Steemit is so awesome!
I have been around social media since the beginning, I had a friendster, was the biggest Myspace addict one could be, I always had the coolest profiles, the best profile songs, and a top 20 because a top 8 is too exclusive for my tastes.. point is; I know social media, and I know where its headed, Steemit is going to combine and become THE Social Media Juggernaut, I just know it. What @Dantheman & @Ned have here is the next evolution of social media companies, a platform owned by no one, is censorship resistant, pays the community to keep participating and most of all has the best (community) dev team around from @Originate to @Blockpay and even a wonderful non-dev community as well. I see new faces everyday, and the content has improved quite a bit since the first few days of introduceyourself spamming lol, so yes I may circle jerk from time to time, but so should you! Take a second and just think about how crazy revolutionary Steemit is going to be.. I mean it's up to us, isn't it?
5. I work in the LegalCannabis Industry & I love Cannabis. I will post about Marijuana quite a bit.
I am a Web Designer by trade but as of 6 years ago I jumped head first into the Medical Marijuana field in Washington State. I got myself a "Green Card" and ever since then I knew this was where I wanted to provide my services. I soon after got in on the ground floor of a medical cannabis co-op and worked front-desk, throwing away my $22/hr job to basically sell pot, legally, to people who needed it.
Working in basically the ghetto to be honest, I made many many friends and met thousands of people and it was a wonderful experience. Not to mention I basically got to smoke as much cannabis as I could humanly handle, some days I would push myself and smoke well over 20 grams, all while working... those were the days.
But soon after i-502 was working its way into the voters minds, we we're set to legalize and tax pot even further to help the state make some more unused tax money it seems. I personally voted No on this, but hey here we are: as of 2014 we had legal marijuana in Washington, & medical cannabis was set up to shut down around 2016. (This finally happened a few months ago)
I ended up closing up shop and parting ways with my business partner in order to pursue something new, Recreational Cannabis Marketing (and websites), at first I made $0 for a good few months since everyone was in the start-up phase and had very little funding to work with. But soon after, I landed myself a full-time marketing & design gig working for a guy who owned 2 legal stores. I worked here for a little over 1.5 years and have recently become the creative director for 3 different stores under a new owner, 4 liquor stores & a transportation business. Till this day I am glad I made the leap into the Cannabis field and couldn't imagine going back... so expect me to share my daily life with you guys, including pictures of my precious cannabis plants and products. I hope you enjoy!
6. I am lazy from time to time so expect random week or 2 week periods where I post nothing because, well writers block :p
As you can tell from last week where I literally was too busy to Steem.... I have a weird life schedule and often times find myself struggling with ADHD and can't sit down, can't focus or whatever ti may be. This usually ends up with me needing a small break from all the stress I take on and thus you get weeks or multiple weeks with me not being very active, but I assure you, as long as Steemit is alive, I will be posting content! So give this man a follow folks!
7. Crypto currencies I love; Bitcoin, Dash, Litecoin & Steem. I am looking into ZCash, Monero & Ethereum at the moment to diversify with because #fungibility is a no brainer in this crazy world we live in..
I got into Bitcoin back in 2011 and I have spent most of my time since then learning, preaching, living and basically field testing cryptos as a real life substitute for banks, the current monetary system or any other common applications for these technologies in real life, with that being said Bitcoin has forced me to delve into the sea of Altcoins from time to time with its "management issues" and I often find myself hunting down privacy, fungibility, faster transactions, a better dev team and a better use case; all of these things bring me to tech such as Dash, Monero & ZCash; now I'm no fortune teller but my monies on the privacy aspects of crypto becoming alot more important in the coming years, and I'm not so sure BTC will be able to simply "bake in" privacy as they hope. Hence my interest in fungible altcoins, because as we can all agree, without fungibility, it's not really money...
Steemit is like a christmas gift you never expected to get but is the most awesome thing you got that year. I am so happy someone finally created a social Blockchain application and I hope/pray/believe you guys will continue to hit it out of the park @dantheman /@Ned and I hope to ride this baby all the way to mars with you. Again, thanks for creating this wonderful site for us! As I said before, you guys can become the social juggernaut overnight..
Ethereum.....idk yet, still digging into it but if the idiots in charge keep hard forking and doing crazy shit, I might just have to get in because these guys are either going to completely face plant, or change the entire planet as we know it. Not sure which yet...

Steemit needs an option to "Pin" a post or two to the "top of their blog". Example mockup included.
Steemit needs a "read/save for later" feature, ASAP. There is far too much content and not enough time to read it all right away....
