100 DAYS OF STEEM : Day 87 - Weekly Roundup #12
As we enter the final two weeks of the 100 Days of Steem project many might think we would be slowing down and winding up.
But it is the exact opposite.
We have had so much fun running the 100 Days, and we have been so inspired by the amazing reception the project has received from the community, we are now buzzing with ideas for what comes next.
Season 2 of The Diary Game has just been announced. That is only the beginning...
The Diary Game
We announced Season 2 of The Diary Game on Tuesday.
The total prize pot has been increased to 8000 STEEM, and there will be separate prizes for Teams and for the best Recruiters.
We will also be bringing on board a number of Game Assistants to help with the running of the game.
It looks like Season 1 will reach at least 250 participants by the end, so we are setting a target of 500 for Season 2. Or should we be really bold and aim for 1000?

Community Curators
The new Community Curators for July have now been announced.
Running the accounts next month will be The Steem Greeters, @steemingcurators, @acostaeladio, @roadofrich, @steem-supporter, @stef1, and @vipnata…
July will be the last month the Community Curators will be operating in their current format.
From August the project will be taking a new shape that will widen access and give more focus.
We will be announcing details at the beginning of July.
The STEEM POD Project
The STEEM POD grew to 10 this past week with the addition of @alexmove (Ukraine), @rishabh99946 (India) and @yohan2on (Uganda).
They have joined existing POD members @cmp2020 (USA), @cryptokannon (Japan), @kiwiscanfly (New Zealand), @leveuf / @knitrias (Mexico), @mariita52 (Venezuela), @oppongk (Ghana), and @team-mexico (Mexico).
@musicforsteem has also been made a temporary member of the STEEM POD with a 5000 SP delegation while it gets established.
We are still reviewing the STEEM POD project and how to expand it most effectively. Look out for announcements on that in July.
In the meantime we will be continuing to add new members to the POD, with some being announced in the next few days.
We are happy to receive applications at any time from dedicated Steemians who believe they could make a positive contribution to helping the platform grow and prosper.
People from countries not already represented in the STEEM POD are particularly welcome.
Challenges
With the 100 Days of Steem reaching its conclusion the regular schedule of Challenges is coming to an end.
There is one main challenge running, particularly for anyone already playing, or planning to join, The Diary Game...
- 100 DAYS OF STEEM : Day 83 - Wednesday Challenge - ‘This Is Me’ Introductory Post for The Diary Game
There will continue to be challenges going forward but they will be more ad-hoc and task focused.
We will also be introducing a new type of contest in the next few days that you will definitely enjoy.
It will have prizes every day and everyone will be able to join in.
Steem Charities
For the past month we have been supporting through the @steemitblog post rewards two great charities - @littledisciples in Venezuela and @thegreens in Cameroon.
We are keen to spread our support to a range of different organisations around the world.
As a first step we are going to begin supporting La Fundación Bautista de Corazón a Corazón in place of @littlesdisciples for a while.
@fundacorazon is a charity that helps disadvantaged children in Venezuela and it has just been brought to Steem by @rosanita.
We are keen to build up a pool of charities and good causes to support. If anyone knows of any other charities that have a presence on Steem let us know. We are particularly keen to support charitable organisations that are not also active on other similar blockchains.
We are also putting out a call out to the members of the STEEM POD - do you know any local charitable organisations in your local areas that you could bring to Steem?
The next two weeks are going to be fun, exciting and just a little tiring.
While we are racing to the finish line with The Diary Game, we can’t wait to reveal some of the new things we have planned for the weeks and months ahead.
There is going to be plenty to get involved with on Steem.

Things are really moving steadily. Aiming 1000 participants in season 2 of the diary game is incredibly awesome. The high spirit will encourage the movement, and I believe things will work out as planned. Nevertheless, the charity support is a good move you've embarked on. I've created an account for the charity I posted a week ago. Their introduction post will land on steem soon.
