🤔🤔🤔Why we get less storage on any storage device.

Hello friends,
Everytime when you have purchased any storage devices such as hard disk, hard drive, memory card etc. You have found that given storage is always less than mentioned.
So, why storage is less than mentioned ?
You have never found any satisfied answer for this question.
Some people and shopkeepers says this storage is used for system files and drivers.
If you have faced this than read full post, I will tell you why that's happened.

Storage table : -
8 Bits = 1 Byte.
1024 Bytes = 1 KB.
1024 KB = 1 MB.
1024 MB = 1GB.
1024 GB = 1 TB.

We knew this storage table.

But storage manufacturing companies faces problem to calculate how many types and quantity of components should be use ?

Therefore storage manufacturing companies use different storage table.

Companies storage table : -
8 Bits = 1 Byte.
1000 Bytes = 1 KB.
1000 KB = 1 MB.
1000 MB = 1GB.
1000 GB = 1 TB.

Company manufacture their storage devices according to companies storage table.

Now, lets see where our storage goes ?
Suppose we purchase a 32 GB memory card.

Companies manufacture this card by their table in bytes.
Therefore,
32 GB = 32000000000 Bytes.

But our devices in which we insert card read card as storage table.
Then

32 GB = 32000000000 / (1024×1024×1024)

= 29.8 GB or upto 200 MB up or down

According to this calculation in 1 GB card you will get approximately 70 MB less storage.
