THE EXTREMELY LARGE TELESCOPE(ELT)- AN EYE INTO THE SPACE

Currently, there are a number of 10-meter (33-foot) diameter optical telescopes in the world, with the Giant Magellan Telescope, at 25 meters (82 feet), poised to break that record in just a few years- Forbes

A 128 ft diameter Colossal Eye known as "Extremely Large Telescope" will be the largest optical "Eye" to ever view the universe from Earth with a primary mirror made out of 798 Segments. This is a new World Record, giving us the opportunity to learn deeper about the Universe. This phenomenal large telescope begins to prepare for completion by mid 2020's.

The ELT programme was approved in 2012 and green light for construction was given at the end of 2014. The first stone ceremony for the telescope was attended by the President of Chile in May 2017. First light is targeted for 2024.-eso

This Astronomical Observatory equipment is budgeted at $1192 Million USD/€1055 Million Euros. With it's primary mirror approximately 100 meters across the 39 Meter main Mirror. This had been in construction since 2014 by the European Southern Observatory(ESO) and it is expected to see the first light in the year 2024 approx other things been equal. How large the primary mirror is depends on how fast and deeper with very high-resolution to view the universe from the Earth surface, hence the resaon for this technological feat

Located in Antofagasta Region Cerro Armazones Chile South America, this is a place to be for great minds who wants to know more about the outer-space and the universe at a glance. This will enable deeper scientific research and make findings beyond what current scientific gadgets could afford in the present World.

In order to build a telescope this large you need to build an effective surface that is properly shaped to focus the incoming light across an area 39 Meters in diameter with a large hole in the center;

Considered as a top priority trail-blazing projects in Astronomy, ELT is a World wide Feats for several scientist and engineers and the initial development started way back in 2005. This would increase Knowledge in Astronomical Studies which is essential for Planet Earth. The science to be derived from this master piece will be monumental.

A Quick Features of ELT

  • NAME: Extremely Large Telescope
  • SITE: Cerro Armazones
  • ALTITUDE: 3046 m
  • ENCLOSURE: Hemispherical dome
  • TYPE: Optical/near-infrared Giant Segmented Mirror Telescope
  • OPTICAL DESIGN: Five-mirror design — three-mirror on-axis anastigmat + two fold mirrors used for adaptive optics
  • FIRST LIGHT DATE: 2024

A center of attraction and a technological feat combines, the ELT is what i referred to as the "Eye of the World into the outer space"- the stars and the cosmos needs not go unnoticed when it comes to full operational mode in the year 2024 or there about.

You could see the milky way with this one :)
We love science. One day we would go on vacation on different planets. Conversation like this would be common

Mike: I just crossed your house last week and noticed everywhere locked seemed like you are out of town.

John: Oh, last week? I was in Mars, then I got a mail I'm needed on Earth, had to cut short my vacation and was lucky enough to board the last rocket leaving for Earth. Almost every rocket were heading to Jupiter for the celebration of World's Artifical Intelligence Day.

Mike: You'd need to upgrade your iDog, I met it running around the front porch and it told me you were out for work.

😀✌️

😁😁😊😂😁😃🤣

This is classic man, me love it

It's awesome to see you had a wonderful time reading it as I had writing it. ✌️

wonderful and amazing so big telescope. thanks @oluwoleolaide for sharing informations and updates of that technology

The world is no longer the same, it has changed a lot, especially the technology has progressed far ahead, thanks to you for this technology-based post. How far ahead can we go from steemit?
