Swiss innovation: startup-companies that will change the world! (Part 3/5)

Hello my fellow Steemians. Recently I read an article about young companies that do have the potential to change the world for the better. So I’ve decided to take a closer look at them and bring it to steem to raise the awareness for these companies! All these companies are based in Switzerland and they show swiss innovation in an impressive way.

In the third part we are going to have a closer look at “Nomoko”

Imagine this situation: someone walks in an idyllic landscape, birds tweet, wind blows softly through the trees. In the very next momet the same person stands in a dreary room and we suddenly realise that those pictures before were only a projection.

Sounds like a science fiction movie? Today, yes. But, this could turn into reality very soon. Nomoko is working on something that is need desperately for such illusions: three-dimensional images of our world, who are in such a high resolution and level of detail you can’t distinguish anymore between reality.

They are working on a camera technology, which is able to scan and record the environment with 1000 megapixels! Just for comparison: a smartphone of the latest generation sports a camera with a resolution between 8 and 20 megapixels. Granted: Smartphones have to be compact at first, but even a highly sophisticated 100MP camera isn’t anywhere close to the resolution of the camera, Nokomo is currently working on! If Nokomo is successful, we might be able to strive virtual realities as we never have seen them before and that can’t be distinguished from the real world. At least from an optical perspective. But, the possible applications are way more diverse. That is why companies who develop autonomous driven cars are very interested in this technology.
