Running On STEEM Podcast Special - Team Malaysia Gathering 2018!

Hello, Steemians!

Today's episode is a special all about the #teammalaysia gathering that we had this past Saturday. We took the liberty of making a podcast episode AND a blog post with pictures so you can get the best of both worlds :)

It was a long time in the making and greatly anticipated by so many of us who have been on this platform for a month to even a year now! Team Malaysia has been growing at a very fast pace and the good men and women at the top decided it would make sense to have a get together for everyone to be able to meet.

It was a great event where we got to meet up and get to know the people who we've been interacting with now for the last few weeks and are a part of a big and fun community! And boy did we meet up with many of them!

And the the wonderful icing on the cake here were definitely the burgers by Big Hug Burgers, located in SS15, Subang Jaya!

@zord189 did a great job as emcee for the meet up. Cool, calm, and collected, he got the attention of the crowd with his wit and charm :)

TeamMalaysia's witness and leader, @bitrocker2020, then took the stage and made his exciting speech about the state and growth of teammalaysia and where it's headed and also the big plans that are being made for the expansion of the whole group for 2018!
He also metioned that @danielwong, owner of Big Hug Burger, has agreed to accept Steem as payment for burgers!

And @sireh, co-founder of #steem-cartoon also made a special announcement regarding an event that involves the steem-cartoon community. They will be announced to the public on the 23rd of January, at Muzium Negara.

After the announcements, the mingling and networking would carry on for another good two hours before we had to leave due to the fact that Big Hug Burger was closing.

It was really a fun event where we got to meet the wonderful people of teammalaysia.

Knowing that there's such a strong team backing the whole community up, I have no doubt in my mind, and have full confidence that 2018 will be a good year for us!

@danieldoughty here is on steemit with his wife @viverridae(not in the picture unfortunately). Talked to him for a few minutes and found out that he's got a whatsapp group of 100+ people on it that he's mentoring! The man's a steemit advocate alright!

Got a picture with the emcee of the event, @zord189, my buddy who got me into steemit!

Us with the good looking @deanyeong. He's quite the inspiring man having done a few jobs and is very much into self development! Also runs his own blog while working as a digital marketer.

Also caught up with @bensimblog who works at a startup company in Malaysia and is a big fan of movies, and met @blaine for the first time who is a fresh grad and was invited to the gathering by his friend @superoo7.

Of course we had to get a picture with the man himself, @bitrocker2020! A lot of great things happening under his watch. Very nice guy!

Big thank you to @danielwong for the awesome burgers! We'll definitely be back for more!

All in all it was a great experience where we got to eat and make new friends. It's a good feeling to be able to be part of something that could potentially be huge.
