Puloculinary #89: Awak Baroe Seafood Restaurant in Banda Aceh
Awak Baroe Seafood Restaurant is one of famous seafood restaurant in Banda Aceh, the capital of Aceh Province. It’s located by Lamnyong River, on T. Nyak Arief street.
Awak Baroe is not the only one seafood restaurant on this street. But, in my opinion, this restaurant serve very delicious menu of seafood.
When I visit Banda Aceh, I must have lunch or dinner here. Their menus make us addicted. Lol...
They please us to choose which fishes we will order. They put all the fishes in front.
Not only fishes but also shrimps and squids.
This restaurant is open air, it has no wall at all. And most of it constructed by wood.
When we visit there, we love to order asam manis fish (the fish cooked with sour, sweet and little bit spicy ketchup).
And also grilled fish. They pour some local ingredients on fish body while grilling.
We could also order some fresh and cooked vegetables.
If you visit Banda Aceh, that has Sultan Iskandar Muda Airport, is easily accessed from Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Medan, and Jakarta, Awak Baroe Restaurant is the best choice to taste Acehnese seafood.
