VIII Strength, XVI The Tower, XVII The Star

It's three trump cards again, I swear I am not rigging these spreads. I just say a little prayer and flip three cards over. I believe this 'Major Arcana focus' to be a reflection of the powerful eclipse energies occurring now. I have definitely felt these energies in my life. Potentials are ripe, now is a very good time to make changes and take a leap of faith.

Overview

As I have already suggested, it's powerful energies running through right now. The potentials for healing yourself and your life are very big, so take the opportunities as they arise. With the tower as the central card, some major change or upset may be playing a role. Strong energies insist or even force you to make a change in how you do things. The two maidens on either side bring an amazing calming and healing influence to the spread. Any disruption and chaos can be accepted and integrated now, just connect in and find your peace once more.

VIII Strength - Taming the Beast, Inner Power, Grace

Strength is a card which talks about our capacity to have integrity and honor our true self. The true self has a quiet patience which embodies and accepts all things. In this manner the pure hearted woman depicted harnesses and tames the beast.

Simply put, the beast is our physical form - complete with survival mind, anger, and sexual drives. It's a manifestation of divinity, made out of solidified light (e=mc2). The thing about these forms is that they have a will of their own, we have pulls and tendencies that are innate or en-trained to the beast that we live in.

None of these tendencies are essentially evil - rage is not evil, lust is not evil, hate is not evil either. These things are just natural forces of life, there is no moral implication. It's an immense relief to know this, especially if we have been denying ourselves access to one of these. This has become an archetype of our cultures, the person who will not acknowledge parts of their basic beast nature, this is part of our DNA.

The Strength card actually goes further than just to accept these things, it's to be fully aware of our animal powers - which actually includes the kundalini energy. Kundalini is primarily an earth based force, available to us through theses physical bodies. Activating and maintaining the kundalini is contingent on using the animal energies well.

In the modern society only a tiny fraction of people use the animal energies well, we are actually killing our bodies far more effectively than we are enlivening them. There's an excess of so many toxins in our diet and environment, and we continually inhabit destructive emotions - not allowing them to express and be gone. Sexual energy is also largely abused, being used as a control mechanism and inevitably depleting our life energies.

This is what the Strength Card is about at the highest level - it's body mastery whereby we channel and purify our 'lust' for life into a constructive power which allows the kundalini upwards. It's a lot about balancing the lower three chakras. I know first hand that it doesn't do any good to activate the higher energies without having balance in your appetites, and having built a foundation of health and integrity that will see you through your awakenings.

If you're having an awakening and it's a bit 'hellish', then you need to focus on your body and making it as strong and healthy as possible. Refine your diet. Cease with any addictions and sexual practices that make you feel dull and lifeless. Take on therapies and practices which release held emotions. Find your way to a relaxed pleasantness. Our awakening can be an enjoyable thing if we honor the form and bring it with us into the unknown.

XVI The Tower - Clearing, Enlivening, Opening, Humbling

Don't be afraid to choose a path entirely outside of what you would normally do, this is an amazing time for new potentials. The tower urges us toward a 'breakthrough' experience, for some it is painful and for others it is enlivening. It's depends on how we choose to view the shattering of our false beliefs. It is well and good that the tower occassionally humbles or shocks us, else we run the risk of becoming comfortable in a set way of being.

Becoming static is not the way of life, all living things tend toward change and movement. The human especially embodies this characteristic, because for us the potentials of how we can live are far grander than any other animal. We can raise our consciousness into profound states, which make our previous ways of living seem trite. So just like this, it's only by dropping our held assumptions that we can journey forward and find another temporary updated truth. This continual arriving and departing of different ways of being forms our individual evolution.

The tower is a bolt of truth which is intent on destroying deception, including our own self deception. If you feel a bit 'fucked up' this week then think about how you might have been proved wrong, or had your eyes opened to something. The ego-mind will resent this, yet moving past that we see the wisdom in being deflated. Finding the freedom to laugh about it, and to even be grateful can go a long way toward opening up to a deeper truth.

My personal relationship with this card has given me an insight to the lightning and fire part of it. Destruction is an aspect of Shiva, so we have the implication of amazing powers at work right now. It's certainly a thrill to embody this white lightening, to be almost overwhelmed by the power and energy that we can channel and express into the world. Honor your own sense of greatness, honor your incredible expansion, honor your ineffable beauty and unspeakable truth.

XVII The Star - New Hope, Purity, Pleasant Dreams

With our basic life energies balanced and honored through Strength, and having moved through possible rude awakenings in The Tower - the final piece of the puzzle comes into play.

The star is another gentle card like Strength, the feminine force comes forward with the energies of love and healing. Know that subtle energies are available now for your healing and self acceptance. The troubles of the past can be accepted and integrated, allow your subconscious fears and tightnesses to surface and be washed clean.

Connecting out and up we get a reminder again of our expansive nature as beings of light. This woman embodies the Aquarian archetype, she is totally 'out there'. There is a direct link to the star nations, and multimensional beings including our own ascended masters. All of these helpful energies are always available, it's up to us to open to them and allow them - bringing their subtle and powerful magic into our lives.

The two jugs and two streams of liquid relate to the different aspects of our consciousness. It could be subconscious and conscious, left and right brain, or it could also be the super conscious realm relating to the physical human. Like the two streams of fluid, our realities and dimensions run parallel at all times - even if we can't perceive them. As a child you had no concept of how so many aspects of society worked, things like garbage disposal and phone lines . They still functioned though, and they had important jobs to do. This is the position of the human being - a child. Let us relax and be nurtured, and trust in our interdimensonal elders.

It's like this, there are wider games and broader energies at play here, so remaining in quietude and openness is the wisest and most effortless choice we can make.

Summary

Don't be afraid to make a change, trust yourself and trust the benevolent forces of life. Be mindful of aspects of mind that are inclined to attack you. These aspects could potentially flare up now, as they arise to be cleared and cleansed. Stay in your peace and simply observe them. We are traversing strong energies, and it is all in the support of your awakening and the process of you claiming your own life.
