Suggestions for Vienna? Share your experiences and tips with us!

Hello Steemians,

this weekend we will do a short-trip to Vienna. Mainly for the Metallica concert on Saturday but we decided to add one night to explore the city. We don't have special plans for Vienna. On the one hand we don't want to rush through the city from one showplace to another, but on the other hand we want to experience the city a little bit.

What would you recommend to visit or explore in Vienna while a short-trip?
Started from your favourite pub or great restaurants to must-see places!
The more unknown and smaller, the more we like it :)
You know, if you ask google for great "small, unknown" pubs or restaurants
they aren't small or unknown at all.

I thought about buying the Vienna city card, so we can use all public transports for 48 hours. Some friends already told us that we need to eat ice-cream at Tichy and my father told us to go to the Donauturm (unfortunately closed due to renovation works). Hotel is already booked, near to the concert hall. That's all for now!
