Story (Covert Party) Part 2
I could have stopped when my husband gave consent. I was held back because I wanted to see the reaction of my mother-in-law and in-laws.
So far I have been the one who helped them a lot financially. This is where I want to prove firsthand how they actually treat me behind my back.
"Mom, let's go home," whispered Naswa. My chest is tight. I don't think they would have the heart to do this to me. But what is the reason for Feri to do this? What did I do wrong.
Even I have shown devotion as his mother's wife and daughter-in-law. "Hopefully it will last forever and be happy in the hereafter," said sis Imar congratulating her new brother and sister-in-law. Like newlyweds. The faces of my husband and his new wife are like two people who are in love until they bloom.
Age did not prevent his desire to have a new wife. "Amen, thank you, Ma'am, Tuti must be a good wife and can give me male offspring," answered Mas Feri while looking at his new wife.
The hand of the woman named Tuti was immediately grasped even though several people were looking at them.
Deg!
My heart felt like it was pumping fast all of a sudden. I can read the meaning of Mas Feri's words. Is this a form of not feeling grateful for having only one offspring? And that descendant is Naswa, our daughter. "Am I not wanted by Papa, Mama?"
Naswa also listened to Feri's conversation. There was an implied hurt from the way he asked while looking at them.
"Let's go home, son."
This time I pulled Naswa's hand. Driving a motorbike, Naswa was silent throughout the journey. Maybe he was thinking about what Feri said. Boys are something to be coveted. Is this just an excuse or is this what my husband wants to marry again.
I'm tricked. So far, Feri has never done anything bad. I never received rude words or raised my hand, even compliments that were often given with love. In fact, I feel that my life is perfect.
Am I a fool to allow that consent? If there is an intention that he wants to betray me, it means that a man like that is not worth keeping for me even though he gave me one daughter. If only I stopped that consent. Still, my heart doesn't want him anymore because there is an intention and one day it will happen again. I just happened to see it today.
As it happens, whips me to my senses. The pain made my heart numb and this cry was enough for once. Yes, just once.
"Mom don't be sad, we can live without them anyway." I turned my eyes to Naswa. He looked relaxed as if it was no big deal. "Your father has the heart, Nas, your grandmother, your aunt, all of them are very heartless, it hurts me to imagine them one by one.
"Mom, from now on, please be careful in financial matters, don't let the actor control Moms property, especially father uses Mom's money to support his new wife."
My daughter knows very well what happened. So far, it was Naswa who often delivered money for her grandmother because I was busy taking care of my mini matket.
Not only that, it was a loan for my in-laws or help from me as well as Naswa who delivered it. How special I treat them. It doesn't matter to me. That's what brothers are for. I treat all of Feri's brothers like my siblings.
But not for the future. Try not to cry anymore. All I received with the fire of anger and I will reply. Starting today, I will let them know who I am. 20.30 hrs. "Father hasn't come home yet, Mom? That's good, so you never go home at all," Naswa said flatly but contained anger.
"His name is also a newlywed, don't worry about it anyways, Mama just asked, please get used to it from now on to lose your father, because eventually he will be with his new wife. "But I also have a request, Mom." "What, son?" "Don't cry for them again, there's still me, Mom, don't be afraid."
God has a way of making me strong.
Alhamdulillah. I am lucky to have a daughter like Naswa. Knock knock! Knock knock! "Maybe it's Papa coming home, Mom," said Naswa, looking at the door.
"Let Mama open it." Then I went to the door. I open the door. "Mother?" My eyes widened when I saw that it was my mother-in-law. But what made me almost didn't blink, my mother came with Ms. Imar and my husband's new wife. They smiled at me.
"Sarah, I've brought you mangoes and your favorite cookies." Mother carried two bags of crackle, while the woman, named Tuti, also carried a box of cookies in a white crackle bag. His name stuck in my memory when my husband this morning gave consent.
My chest feels tight. They act like nothing happened. "Who's coming, Mom?" asked Naswa. I kept silent. It's hard to hold back. But I have to be calm so I know where their game is going. "Grandmother?"
Naswa was surprised to see her grandmother came with the woman her father had married. His eyes couldn't lie with the surprise.
"Naswa Grandma's grandson, let's take this inside." Mother handed her bag to Naswa. "Mm y-yes, Grandma," Naswa stuttered. His eyes were still on his father's new wife.
"Ooh, this is Aunt Tuti, Naswa, uncle Haris' cousin," said Ms. Imar pointing at Tuti. "Sarah, this is my husband's cousin Tuti." Imar introduced me to the woman. Harris's cousin? I never heard of him.
So far they have never spoken or even mentioned his name. I'll find out where my husband met this woman. I'm not sure he's Mas Haris' cousin. If this woman is introduced as Haris' cousin, why does she look happy and smile at me and Naswa. There was no doubt, at first glance he did not appear to be visiting the house of his husband's first wife. This feels awkward.
"Okay, Grandma, let's go in," said Naswa while poking my back giving a code for me to follow the game. "Oh, yes, ma'am, sorry, I'm just not feeling well so I was surprised by the arrival of Mom and imar," I polished trying to lighten the mood. "Sarah, I'm Tuti." The woman reached out for a handshake. There is doubt. With consideration, I took his hand. "I don't need to say my name anymore because you already know right?"
"Yes, Ma'am, Ma'am Imar is right, Ma'am is a good woman," he praised. I replied still forced to smile. So they've been talking about me behind my back. The predicate "good woman" was thrown around as if I had been flattered. But that didn't flatter me, I just wanted to see what they wanted from this play.
Now, we're sitting on the living room couch. "Grandma what would you like to drink? What do you want to drink too, Aunt Imar and Aunt Tuti?" Naswa asked after placing mother's bag on the table.
"Just warm tea, Nas, but a little sugar," replied the mother-in-law casually as usual. "Yes, but let me help you make warm tea. Nas, I've been sore from sitting all the time," said Tuti beyond my expectations. Was sitting meant to be sitting during her wedding with Mas Feri? "I'll just have iced tea, Tut," said Ms. Imar as if trying to make Tuti so freely in "Let Naswa make the drink, Ma'am, it's not good because Tuti is a guest in this house," I said trying to calm down.
"It's okay, Sarah, Tuti is used to doing housework, she also has to get used to helping you."
Deg!
Does my mother-in-law want me to accept Tuti as my honey in this house? She thinks I'm a statue without feelings?
"Well, why does Tuti have to get used to it here, Mom?" "Naswa, let's show Auntie your kitchen." Tuti immediately stood up. He tried to divert the conversation.
"Yes, Nas, let Tuti serve the cakes that were just brought," said Ms. Imar. "Mm." Naswa looked doubtful while looking at me. "Naswa, take Aunt Tuti to the kitchen, after all, Auntie Tuti is also uncle Haris' cousin," I said so that Naswa would take immediate action. "Oh, yes, Ma," replied Naswa.
Then he turned to Tuti. "Come on Auntie." Naswa and Tuti went to the kitchen. "Sarah, can I ask you a favor?" "What, ma'am?" "Tuti is an orphan, let her stay at your house to help you clean the house, or accept her to work at your mini market, she is a diligent woman and it is guaranteed that all homework will be done, so you can focus on doing other things."
Oh, so this is what the mother-in-law meant to bring her new daughter-in-law into my house? I know it's just an excuse, but if they start this lie, then I'll start my revenge too. "Yes, Sar, Tuti just got married but has separated from her husband," said Ms. Imar, prolonging this lie. "Loh, just got married, how come you're separated, Ma'am?" I asked investigating.
"Economic factors, Sar, later after her husband is able to materially, then they get together again." The longer their charade the more they add up. I will enjoy the lies presented. I'll see how far this game goes. If I ask for a divorce right away, it looks easier and less torturous for them.
