Steemit Story Slam Challenge #2 Theme Announcement

in #story8 years ago

Community voting is now open for SS Slam Challenge 1, you can see the theme HERE and you can vote HERE. These authors spend a lot of time writing but it only takes a few seconds to vote!

The last challenge was an open mic night where everyone could present anything they wanted to, and boy was there a variety of material! Thank you to everyone who put in an entry, it was great to see so much original content. Let's keep it going!

Without further ado, the theme for the Steemit Story Slam Challenge 2 is....

What if you won the BIG bucks one day in a multi-million dollar payout?

This is a pretty common daydream to have and it is an extremely fun question to ponder. Would you put some aside or splurge and spend it all? Would you donate to charity or hoard the riches like a miser dragon straddling a hill of shiny gold coins? Would you become a bitcoin whale or a victim of your own luck?

This Story Slam challenges you to imagine not just winning the lotto, but what happens after? It is common knowledge that Lotto winners are often the victims of their good fortune, often winding up with less than they had before they won. So what would your story be?

Rules & How it Works

  • Each entry must be presented on the writer's own blog. You may also add a link to the entry story on your blog in the comments of this post.
  • Max 2 entries per Story Slam please :)
  • Your Steemit Story Slam Challenge entry should be titled:
Steemit Story Slam Challenge 2: (Name of your entry).
  • Please use the #ssschallenge tag so that your entries can be easily found and processed.
  • A total of 4 entries will be selected for the next round: Community Voting!
  • The community will vote on these 4 stories. Upon close of the Community Vote post, the story with the highest amount of votes will receive 1st place, second highest 2nd place and so on. Based on liquid steem/sbd, there will also be honorable mentions. All of my Slam posts are set to 50/50 to raise rewards for the winners.
  • If YOU would like to contribute as a Steemit Story Slam Selector for future slams, get in contact via Chat! Each Selector will be able to pick one story that will go through to the community voting round. Special thanks to the Selectors for the 1st Steemit Story Slam Challenge: @meesterboom - @michelle.gent - @opheliafu !

  • The deadline for the 2nd Steemit Story Slam Challenge is Sunday the 22nd 2017 by midnight (UTC -4).
