Emotional Blackmail(the vicious circle)

in #story7 years ago (edited)

Lizzy is only 36 years old but her love life already is quite emotionally stressful, made of numerous ups and downs with the loss of her parents, her dad killed her mum during a fight that happened when her mum was trying to move out of the house after dufficult marital life with her dad, her dad was sentenced to prison and died after some years, at a tender age lizzy was left to cater for her self,no family member to really call her own. she met Greg whom she loved but was also an unserious fellow making the journey of her life more miserable.she lived her life coupled with several make ups and break ups with Greg.

They knew each other since they where very young, she was only 16 years old. After a first couple period of 6 years, Greg left her for another lady. A separation that lasted 3 years Lizzy took advantage of this separation to travel abroad, a decision she would not have made if Greg did not leave her. As time. Went by Greg insisted on joining her over there, after some cock and bull story and plea she accepted. They got back together during thier stay abroad, after some years Lizzy and Greg dicided to come back to home to get married, and start to build a life together: they got married, bought a house and had a little boy.

Quite quickly, their relationship deteriorated again. Greg was rather inconstant. Despite the birth of their son, he eventually left again to live with another woman leaving Lizzy heart broken again. Ironically, he was diagnosed with a serious illness, which plunged him into depression. Lizzy made great efforts to support him in this difficult moment, in the name of their common past and the sake of thier little boy. However, he was quite aggressive and hard on her: insults, verbal abuse, unfair accusations "of having made him sick" ... And of course, as soon as he was on his feet, Greg did not return to Lizzy , but left to live with his last companion.

In order not to harm their son, who is still very young and with the memory of what transpired between her parents she does not want her child to suffer the same cruel fate. lizzy took on her to keep good relations with Greg.In all this lizzy and Greg was still married (on paper) Greg persisted with all his acts and still was refusing for a divorce, He got physically violent towards lizzy the day she summoned him to resume his business and divorce once and for all.
Today, Greg drags along the length of the procedure, pretexting a disagreement around the sale of the house which they bought in his name knowing fully well lizzy had no where to go, he knew about her past and knew fully well she wanted the best for her son. greg kept on blackmailing lizzy with all this. Lizzy wants to keep the house and save her son,and at the same time she also wants to find peace. she decided she was ready to leave but with her son pending the time the divorce would be concluded. This decision which caused an unexpected reaction from her ex-husband, he panicked, threatened at the idea that it completely disappeared from lizzy's head. He claimed to have accepted all the conditions of the divorce, which is still not pronounced.

At this point the life of lizzy is suspended, she is left stagnant at a cross road.As long as her destiny is still associated with that of Greg she lives in fear, as much as she wished to move on with her life, she was afraid to meet anyone, knowing fully well that her ex husband is keeping a close tab on her,all he needed was an excuse or evidence to use against and as a bait to blackmail her which will lead to the divorce proceedings been postponed again.afraid to see her situation and that of her son topple, afraid to open up to other people ...
Lizzy's attempt to call for help on how to get out of this gear, not to become unnecessarily angry? How to be able to open up again, how to save her self and her son became a vicious circle.

what exactly does Greg want??? what does lizzy need to put her life back on track??? find out in concluding part of the emotional blackmail(vicious circle)

@phunke

Nice story link and you got a perfect story line transition. I could read through and noticed the change of setting and back again to normal setting as they both returned from abroad.
I just hope this is a fiction story as I would feel emphatic for Lizzy. Indeed, she got the emotionally stamina to sustain the forlorn her her martial life brought to her. And to Greg, I am yet to know what he is up today having displayed a sudden attitude, so uncalled for, when you drop in your next episode.

Nicely written 👏👏👏👏 @phunke...

Thanks peter, thanks for taking your time to read. Expect the next episode soon, and for feeling emphatic it is not necessary i just had to illustrate a story to give a better insight of my previous post. I hope you read that too.
Thanks once again @peterwrites

Couple of days ago I did an article something quote similar to this and in it I titled it MELISSA'S MELANCHOLY episode I.
Will drop in the episode II of the story this week hopefully. Working on it.

Hello @phunke

This is a very touching story and I really feel for Lizzy, no body deserves to suffer that much.

And also Marriage is one of the things that should be done with great caution, if not for the parents, the children should be considered, no one deserves to be brought up in a broken home.

Thanks for this amazing write up. Followed You.
