The unit manager whom I later came to know as Baldy rejoined our entourage.

He led us through the same large corridor the inmates disappeared in earlier, amd continued after we passed a thick paneled glass cubicle showcasing a plastic case with BAY inscribed on it.

"Welcome to the WEMCA state facility. Home of your beloved rapists, thrill killers and so on and so forth."

We went past two more corridors leading to an outdoor courtyard, then a steel gate annex which housed a pair of steel gates in the middle of it, on both sides, snaking to join two respective storey buildings on the outside of each side.
We soon arrived at a tall building with a large foyer in the midst of it, making it seem like a stadium. It was six stories in all with thick ceiling high steel banisters on all levels. Only one entrance led to the foyer.
My escorts took me to the fourth level, to an entrance lettered space 413, enclosing a wide corridor in the middle and a room on both sides. Like a self-contain apartment.... The only difference was the steel bar acting as door.
After shoving me in a room, my escorts left.

The scent in the room was unmistakeably avocado, it rang home like a blast, provoking suppressed memories I'd managed to stash in the cabinet of check nots, and something clicked inside my head.... I noticed I was now seated on a couch in the living room of my home, a newly wed husband basking in the exquisite yet simple aesthetic touches of his bride all over their newly rented apartment, then her palms covered my eyes.
I knew her scent, I could tell she was the one even though her younger sister was prone to such pranks as she'd followed us home after the wedding. Much to my amusement, she kissed me and tugged me up lightly, forcing me into a one-eighty degree turn, then she led me by hand towards the bedroom....
My temple ached badly from where I'd hit it with the wall. Baldy, the unit manager appeared at the doorway the same minute the dinner bell rang.
By the time we got to the foyer, the throb in my head had gotten so bad that it disagreed with my vision and I felt my legs wobbling on their own terms. I felt Baldy's hands grabbing my midsection as I proceeded to paint the concrete floor with my grey matter after I'd spun the room around to my satisfaction.
He took me to the glass bay cubicle, which led into a hall-like office filled with at least fifteen beds. The smell of paint was fresh as I settled down on a comfortable bunk, watching as Baldy talked to a doctor who could've easily switched to a modeling career if she wanted.

The stunning doctor came over with Baldy and introduced herself as Dr. Zeena. A male nurse beside her handed me two pills along with a glass of water which I took hesistantly. Dr Zeena must've noticed this because she sat next to me, taking my hands in hers and whispered gently,

"Jafari, it's alright.

One of the pills will only make you sleep. I promise when you wake you'll be as good as new."
