First shots with my New Camera
First shots with my New Camera
As I mentioned in a post yesterday I picked up a new camera and took it out for a few quick shots today, the light wasn't ideal but it was the only chance I had to try it out today and I must say I am super happy with it,

for my second outing with the camera I did a quick visit to the beach, by this time the sun had come out

Even sunny enough for some to be enjoying some time on the beach

And finishing off with this shot of a Seagull flying by,
First thoughts on the new camera are all positive its real impressive, I noticed a couple of settings I had missed when setting up the camera so a quick outing was good to pick up on those so now I think I am all set to get out for some more shooting when time and weather permits

Oh, man. I occasionally lust for a new Sony. I've come really close a couple of times (yes, I subscribe to their new products email, possibly a mistake) but every time I think about not using the Nikon I just freeze up :)
Those are some really cool 'entry' photos. I like the range. I'll be watching with interest. Serious interest.
Thanks. I think. It's a wonderful post. But what if I buy a new camera?
thanks I was using Pentax for a long while but switched to Sony when they brought out the A6000 initially just for carrying into the city as it was so light I loved it and switched completly, but glad to finally meet ve uo to full frame 😎
Nice bokeh on the first two. Were you shooting in Aperture mode?
I was in aperture mode for all of these the first couple I was seeing what the bokeh would be like and was quite pleased they were with the kit lens
Is the kit lens the 28-70mm?
Yes it’s OK I would have liked the 24-70 2.4 but it was out of the budget range lol
Yeah, l’m not sure at this point whether I’m ready for a better lens. There are too many settings on the camera I have yet to get comfortable with. I’m not sure a better lens would help much and the good ones cost a small fortune.
A lot of the settings are similar to the 6500 so I don’t have to much to learn luckily and I have a few lenses that are full frame so I am good to go
If I were to buy another len, it would probably be one that I could do macro. The kit lens isn’t too great for that, unless I’m missing something.
That may we’ll be the next lens if I get Another the 50 or 90 mm macro
It did take some lovely shots, for sure:)
Thanks I was quite happy
Glad to see you are enjoying the new camera. The seagull photo is awesome!
Ohh yes I love it
I was pretty happy with the seagull shot
Great shots and a great camera. Having a nice DSLR makes all the difference. I still use my trusty smartphone and get some nice shots from time to time.
Very cool @tattoodjay, nice upgrade for steeming.
Thanks kindly
I had been wanting to upgrade to full frame fir a long while so cool to have it
Very crisp images! Nice!
Thanks it works well
Yay for a new camera! Congrats, that must feel good. I love the shot of the seagull. Beauty!
I had been dreaming of full frame for a long time so happy to hav made it and very happy with it
That’s my best sea gull shot ever
