SteemSTEM Distilled #33

in steemstem •  7 months ago

Welcome to the 33rd issue of SteemSTEM Distilled, a bi-weekly curation effort by the members of the @steemstem team.

SteemSTEM is a community driven project which seeks to promote well-written and informative Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics posts on Steemit. The project involves curating STEM-related posts through upvoting, resteeming, offering constructive feedback, supporting scientific contests, and other related activities.

For more details, a recent update on the steemSTEM can be found here, and a not so recent one there. Moreover, if you ask yourself about what it means to be part of steemSTEM, please check here.

Our team scours the platform for original and quality content.

After working through thousands (literally!) of STEM-related posts and upvoting more than 150 that we deemed to be worthy, we proudly present you our top 6 handpicked choices for this Monday-Wednesday period.

A few words about the nomination process

For the sake of transparency we feel we need to clarify how our nomination process works; each issue is compiled by certain members of the SteemSTEM community. This mid-week's editorial team was comprised of @zest.

The editorial team chooses their favorite posts for the week and each issue is the result of their joined effort. In order to keep the process fair, posts written by the editorial team are excluded from the nomination process.

Don't be discouraged if you didn't make it on this issue. The competition is harsh and there is always a next time :)

Congratulations to everybody who got featured in the 33rd issue of distilled. To those who are still new to the community,you also have the chance to be on the list. Good quality content is of course an important asset and what we are currently building up is "team effort" and "community engagement" which we are positive we can achieve. Kudos to all 🌸

Good to see Distilled back and happy to see the great sex differentiation post by @alexander.alexis get featured. Congrats to all other authors as well.

These are some righteous selections by @zest.
I believe, one of the debts we owe this great community for their sacrifices is; passion-driven engagement.
More grace

I have a question
@steemstem
Could statistics be part of this too please ?

·

Which statistics exactly?

·
·

Maybe a tutorial

·
·
·

Ah ok, you meant writing a post about statistics. I thought you wanted me to provide more statistics about how we vote.

Of course, statistics is part of STEM :)

·

Thanks for your nice message :)

Woww great innovative project. Awesome thinking.

Very nice picks to be featured on the 33rd issue of distilled. We all owe the community engagement. Together we rise. Very proud to be a member of this community. Also taking time to say how’s appreciative I am of the management for keeping the fire burning. We all see the work you do and we know how passionate you are about this project. We share the same passion too. Thank you once again !

·

You are very welcome! Thanks to you for your contributions :)

As always, good job ;)

However, I found bugs with every photo pulled either to left or right:
image.png

It happens on busy.org, which is a really cool interface and I use it on daily basis. I think you simply shouldn't use Markdown inside HTML tags, so instead of:

<div class="pull-right">
    ![](link-to-photo)
 </div>

use:

<div class="pull-right">
    <img src="link-to-photo">
</div>
·

Ahaha good catch. Since I don't use busy, I have never noticed this issue. It should be fixed by now :)

Tanks for pointing this out!

·
·

Busy is much better than it used to be, definitely worth checking out ;)

·
·
·

I still prefer steemit ;)
