Artificial Intelligence Systems Already in Use Today

in #steemstem6 years ago (edited)

Hello steemians,

I have realized that we have been talking about artificial intelligence and how it is going to be a take over in the nearest future but there are some already in existence if we are observant. The machines has not really taken over totally but they are sliding into our life gradually like influencing how we live, work and entertain our everyday life.

examples are voice-powered personal assistants like Alexa and Siri, or we can still say more fundamental and underlying technologies like autonomously-powered self-driving vehicles boasting powerful predictive capabilities, suggestive searches and behavioral algorithms. Those are the few several examples and applications of artificial intellgience in our world today.

INTRODUCTION

Artificial intelligence in not as advanced as painted in science fiction. Robots can relate to any human experience in Hollywood in some many ways but there are so many development and advancing in aspect we might not automatically expect. Software engineers believe that if a software has algorithms that responds based on user behavior and pre-defined multi-faceted input is artificial Intelligence.
Meanwhile artificially intelligent systems are systems that can learn on their own. Examples are like neural networks like Google's DeepMind that can make connections and give meaning without giving feedback from predefined behavioral algorithms source.

Real artificial intelligence can improve from. Past interactions, like getting aware and smarter as well as allowing it to enhance its capabilities and its knowledge like pseudo Artificially intelligent technologies that are driving much of human voice and non-voice based interactions with the machines.

Companies like Tesla, Facebook and Apple have developed revolutionary changes to how we interact with machine learning tech, clueless as we look on how artificial intelligence is been used today by business. When artificial intelligence come out wild, how far will be it be to the current technology?

Relating Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence

Computing using quantum mechanical phenomena like superposition and entanglement is Quantum computingsource.

We have been all over the artificial intelligence takeover without thinking of relating it to quantum computing.
Artificial intelligence will be faster, smarter, human like and more fluid when the quantum computing is imbibed in it. Quantum Computing is not only going to solve all the complex issues like disease, aging, poverty, famine, the origins of the universe and deep space exploration, environment and many more but it is going to power every of our artificial intelligence system, that is its going to function as the brain of this super human machines in the nearest futuresource.

Artificial Intelligence already in use today

While quantum has not been imbibed in artificial intelligence, artificial intelligence presently are just advanced learning softwares with extensive behavioral algorithms that adapts itself to human likes and dislikes. Moreover the machines are not getting smarter but they improving in their skills and usefulness based on the large database.
Below are the few popular artificial intelligence in use today

  • Alexa

Alexa was introduced by Amazon and Alexa raised and became the smart home hub and has been somewhat meteoric. Alexa tookover much of the world by storm but it usefulness and its uncanny ability to decipher speech from anywhere in rooms made it a revolutionary product that can helps browser the internet for information, appointments, set alarms and more but also help power our smart homes and be a conduit for those that might have limited mobility.

  • Siri

Siri is a friendly voice activated computer that we interact with on daily basis apple's personal assistant everyone is familiar with.
Siri helps in finding information, gives direction, help sends messages, add events to calender and so on. She is a pseudo intelligent digital personal assistant. Siri use machine learning tech to get better and smarter also she is able to predict and understand local language requests and questions.

  • Pandora's Artificial intelligence

Another revolutionary technology that exists today. Also know as musical DNA. Songs are analyzed manual (about 350 or more) by some professional musicians based on a particular criteria, also the system has an amazing track record for recommending songs that will otherwise be unnoticed but people love them.

  • Netflix

This artificial intelligence provides accurate predictive tech based on the reaction of customers to movies. Netflix does analysis in plenty films to suggest movies you might like based on previous reactions and choice of movies. This technology is getting better and smarter by the years as the database increases. Moreso, the Netflix technology draws back small rated movies go unnoticed while big rated movies grow on the platform.

  • Amazon transactional Artificial intelligence

Allows Amazon to astronomical make money online. It's algorithms refines more and more by the year. Amazon has gotten smart at predicting what humans are interested in buying based on our online behavior.

  • Tesla

Another smart artificial intelligence tech. Not everyone can afford Tesla but if you can afford it and you don't have it you are missing also many things. Tesla is probably one of the best cars ever made, it has self driving features, predictive capabilities and sheer technology.

  • Cogito

Another powerful behavioral adaptation to improve emotional intelligence of sister support rep that exists in the market. Cogito is a fusion of machine learning and behavioral science to improve customer interaction for phone professionals. It applies to the plenty of voice language language that are occurring on daily basis. Cogito was originally co-founded by CEO Dr. Sandy Pentland and Joshua Feastsource.

  • Nest

Nest is a learning thermostat that can be voice controlled by Alexa. It uses behavioral algorithms to learn from human heating and cooling need. Nest was acquired by Google in January 2014source. Nest anticipates and adjust the temperature in your home or office based on your personal needs.

  • Boxever

Boxever leans on machine learning tech to improve customers experience in travel industries and experience that delight customers along the way. Boxever is uses artificial intelligence to help customers find new ways to engage their client in their travel journeys. Boxever was co-founded by CEO, Dave O’Flanagansource.

CONCLUSION

Technology is still in its infancy. What many companies are calling Artificial intelligence today are not what it is. A real artificial intelligence system should be able to learn on its own from past interactions and behavior of humans.

In relation to your conclusion:

Technology is still in its infancy. What many companies are calling Artificial intelligence today are not what it is. A real artificial intelligence system should be able to learn on its own from past interactions and behavior of humans.

I will propose an argument against this sentiment. Artificial intelligence has nothing to do with learning but rather it is a system that is in attempt to use information to produce the most favorable outcome. What I mean is AI should just be able to distinguish what the most favorable outcome is and then use the information to get there. Meaning something as simple as a login screen, which takes a username and password and if they are correct then it logs the user in, to be just as much AI as a back-propagation neural network. I mean they may not fit to be considered AI by science fiction standards, but there is a reason its called science fiction.

Oh, also AI is more than just advanced learning software, in the most general sense.

We are practically saying the same thing from my conclusion because talking about learning, means it could produce outcomes from previous experience for example I try to shop online and after that I use my Browser for something else, if the platform I shopped with has an advert system, the advert I will be seeing is from my last order I mean things related to my last order that means the system learnt from My previous shopping
