Patrice Evra hangs shoes on a peg. The 38-year-old defender made the decision to end his career.
For over a year Evra remained without club membership. He failed to find a new employer, so he decided to part with football. He informed about the decision in an interview with the Italian newspaper *La Gazzeta dello Sport. Later he said goodbye to the fans also in social media.
Evra has performances, among others in AS Monaco, Manchester United, Juventus FC and Olympique de Marseille. The last club in his career was West Ham United, in which he spent 4 months in 2018.
He appeared in 81 matches of the France national team. He participated in the World Cup in 2010 and 2014, as well as in 3 tournaments for the European Championship: in 2008, 2012 and 2016.
