I mean art is subjective, I suppose, and one could say a piece is never done.
But, I learned a while back that to labour over a piece is fine and good, but that if approached with a new view of those layers as little 'separate' works, one can feel productive and give a good 'finish' to the day. - @donnadavisart

But they were all done to congratulate my friends on some event.
I have not bought a postcard for a long time (since I started working in the design of postcards myself)

Then the design went into the background, but the love for the cards remained.*

...heute nehme ich mir ein etwas grösseres und älteres Projekt vor welches längere Zeit im Ruhemodus an meiner Wand hing aber nie beendet wurde.
Täglich sehe ich das Bild mit dem Wissen es eines Tages weiter malen zu "müssen". Heute ist dieser Tag.
Mal sehen wie weit ich komme und was noch alles passieren wird...

I recently played in a 5e hexcrawl with some friends. All the players ended up choosing fighter types. Human Paladin. Halfling Ranger. Half-Orc FIghter. The DM gives us a smidge of XP for art or stories that add to the campaign. Here's a portrait of the Half-Orc Fighter character. He's a bit of the 40k brute Ork. He refers to himself in the 3rd person and brags a lot about the big sword he won off an Ogre in a game of dice. Still a WIP.
