Bermuda Crown Silver Coin
Bermuda, a British island territory in the North Atlantic Ocean, issued beautiful one crown silver coins in 1959 and 1964. The 1959 coins show the sailing ships Deliverance and Patience on the reverse, while the 1964 coins show a lion holding a shield.
1964 Bermuda 1 Crown - Elizabeth II
Obverse: Crowned portrait of Queen ElizabethII facing right with legend around of ELIZABETH·II·DEI·GRATIA·REGINA. (Translation: Elizabeth the Second Queen by the Grace of God)
Reverse: Lion holding the coat of arms of the Bermuda with a ship wreck, divides date. Inscriptions: ONE BERMUDA CROWN 1964, engraver initials GC, QUO FATA FERUNT (Translation: "Whither the Fates Carry [Us]"
Edge: Reeded

Hmmm, Lion Holding a Shield. My Guess is that the Lion is a LEO. That is a Very Beautiful Coin, Almost as Beautiful as The Lady that made this Post !

Old coins are so interesting. The designs of the coat of arms of countries are just so ornate and beautiful. I do love our very own Great Seal of the United States, as well as the Heraldic eagle with shield and thirteen five-pointed stars at the back of the ASE.
I've never noticed that the ship in the coat of arms Wrecked! There must be a reason why they did. Lovely exotic silver coin, @stokjockey has great taste in crown sized silver coins like this one.
