In the last year, it shows $700 to $1400, it shows a steady climb and then a burst in the last 30 days.
In just the last 30 days, from $1050 to $1400, I thought I was looking at Bitcoin.

Rhodium is a silvery white metal that is used in industry and jewelry.
RHODIUM in INDUSTRY
Rhodium is used in industry for electric connections. It is used in aircraft and automotive applications in aircraft turbine engines, automotive spark plugs and exhaust emissions. It is used with platinum and/or palladium.
RHODIUM in JEWELRY
Rhodium is a silvery white metal that dazzles and is mirror-like. It is used in industry and jewelry. Some jewelry that is 'white gold' has a rhodium surface. Some jewelry stores will 'resurface white gold jewelry with rhodium". Basically, similar to gold-plated jewelry, white gold jewelry might be rhodium-plated jewelry.

Rhodium is element #45 on the periodic table, more specifically it has atomic number 45, which means it has 45 protons in the nucleus, and in a neutral atom, it has 45 electrons. It is a noble metal.
It's very similar to platinum. Actually, platinum does not need to move over because rhodium is part of the platinum group, along with platinum, palladium, ruthenium, osmium, iridium.

Mainstream media is silent. I am surprised this huge price increase is not more in the news. Apparently, rhodium has a history of volatile prices. Let's not forget the that manipulation of metals goes with the silence from the media, this is just another spoke on the same wheel.

Its major use is for electroplating due to its strong resistance with scratches.
Thanks for the input. Strong resistance is important for jewelry appearance and also industrial connections.
Rhodium is a cool metal. I remember selling .5 grams of it for BTC in 2013

Absolutely, it is listed on several sites for silver and gold... I didn't pay attention until recently. Certainly the metal that is known much less than silver/gold.
