Steem Monsters Season Four- Lots of Cool New Features!!!!

If you can believe it, Steem Monsters has entered Season Four and the game just keeps getting better!!!! If you have not been following @steemmonsters for the latest news, you are in for some awesome surprises! If you have not yet begun playing and your Steem Monsters cards are laying there lonely and unused... I just feel bad for you.

The developers of Steem Monsters are busy at work fixing and enhancing the game's features all the time. Sometimes I will be playing and see a glitch in the Matrix and think, something has changed! They are like little elves hard at work and I think we may have to remind them to sleep every once in a while!!!

To find all the latest changes in the game for Season Four, check out Season 4 Changes! The daily quests that were giving Beta booster packs will now give 10 new Reward Cards and you will receive more cards as you battle your way through the leagues. This means we will no longer be receiving Beta booster packs for our daily quests and must now find other ways of obtaining them. Steem Monsters contests will become more important because those Beta cards can no longer be farmed.

These new reward cards also come with new monsters and some cool new abilities!!!! Check out New Reward Edition Cards! to see all the newest cards and abilities. The vampire has a life leach ability which steals a health point each time it damages another monster. This card has become my favorite of the reward cards, so I am thrilled to have received a few more vampire cards from today's daily quest reward.

The new cards add to the fun of the game and the higher you are in the leagues, the more cards you will receive for the quest reward. This reward increases to 20 cards for Champion league. You will also receive these reward cards as the Season Reward.

The new season is well under way, but there is still lots of time to reach higher league levels with 9 days left to battle. But how do you get to the gold league? Like everything else in this life, I have a theory!

When you begin the new season, you are ranked in the bronze league. This league limits the power of your summoners, which as a result limits your monsters' abilities. During this time, you will be able to use your low level cards you don't get to use much. As you win your battles, your rank will increase and you will level to the next league. This may take some time, but not very long. You can try to win the battles needed for your daily quests at the same time.

@simgirl's tips to getting the gold and winning battles:

Pick a good tank- one with lots of health, armor, or has a healing or retaliate ability.

Add your spell power monsters after you choose your tank.

Be sure your ranged attack monsters are placed after the spell power ones. This is because when your tank dies, the next monsters moves into tank position. Ranged monsters cannot attack from tank position. They are sitting ducks.

Place the attack monster with the highest health in the last position. Enemy monsters with sneak will attack this monster first. If you place a low health monster in this position, they die before their turn.

Pay attention to the speed of your monsters. The blue number under the monster's attack number is the monster's speed. The higher the speed number, the earlier the monster will attack. Use faster monsters to attack first, giving you an advantage in battle.

When faced with an all melee battle, be sure your melee monsters have the sneak ability or they will just sit there and take the damage until moved into tank position.

When preparing for high mana battles, use your highest mana monsters and fill with lower mana monsters.

Check the league requirements to see the rank you need for the next league. Make this number your next goal. Do this every time you advance. As you advance, use your highest leveled monsters to your advantage.

I hope that these tips will help those struggling to win in battles. I often use the same monsters and only change them when the mana changes. I favor the Lord of Darkness for his enrage, and I have leveled my blue monsters the highest so I use them often. The green team is steadily becoming my new favorite with lots of spell power monsters to choose and more being added with the new reward cards.

I haven't had much time lately to add new cards, but the new reward cards have helped to add to the excitement of battle. I only bought one card, being the Spirit of the Forest because she was one I have never been able to collect yet for the green team.

Don't forget to go back into your collection and combine the reward cards each time you get new ones to increase their power!
