Mixed feelings - I got some decent cards that I need in volume to help level them up along with a few stronger cards. No golds or legendary but I think it might be slightly above average.

Summary
7 Summoners in 40 packs is really devastating *(Update to 7 - great catch @fullcoverbetting). They are the the key to leveling up and I need dozens of them. 5 in 200 cards is not the rate I need to get them up.
Up Next! Tomorrow I will unpack the season rewards! Hopefully my luck turns around!

That is the dream - but I would be happy with Gold or Legendary!!
I think you're right. The summoners are essential but they are not common enough. It makes it very difficult to level up without buying singles. If we actually get an influx of non steem players, it's going to become pretty apparent that summoner rarity is out of balance.
I hope I was just unlucky, and given the market pricing they can't be that rare in general. Just to me!
I did have a small error, I got 3 summoners in 10 packs, so better than originally reported.
I think the only reason they aren't more expensive is because not a lot of people are playing. They are a required card to play so they should be common.
I did see 3 summoners in this opening. 1 Lyanna Natura and 2 Alrics. Don't I.
But I do agree for opening 40 packs, the rewards are not too generous. Still 70 to go!
