Changing idea of Steemland to attract new people to steem(it) through a virtual world

Mixing together art, bitcoin, games, meetups, photos, poker, rewards, and steem(it) in a virtual world setting. Attracting people with games. Offering bitcoin and/or steem to try something out within steemland. While exposing people to different things about bitcoin and steem(it). Having pictures of art and photographs on display. These will link to steemit.com webpages where the post can be viewed about these pictures. In the meantime seeing the rewards on steemit.com and also being rewarded bitcoin within YrGrid virtual world. Maybe this could be a way to introduce some value to users for viewing content on steemit before and without even having to sign up yet.

Steemfest in a virtual world

A place where interested users in coming to visit land in a virtual world where many Steem(it) things would be shared and potentially explored, and discussed. This could serve as a place where many pictures from steemfest could be presented. Then by looking around you could see what you may have missed having been busy at steemfest, or missed when looking through all the posts in your time reading other ones.

Maybe you want to share your art, photography or your main steemit blog page. Or suggest art and photography you would like to see in a steemit art gallery or museum in a virtual world. Which would be like walking into a real world museum with your avatar. Steemit users could create an avatar in the virtual world of YrGrid.

Originally posted about potentially hosting a poker freeroll for STEEM (Dollars) which we still have the funds for. Could also offer to host a game for players interested in playing for steem. Would be held in YrGrid where bitcoin is used. Would pool steem together into bitcoin to play them back to steem which would be divided evenly between cash outs after rake (if any). Could have a sit-n-go tournament if there may be interest in that as well.

YrGrid has viewers for Windows and Mac. Radegast offers a lighter weight viewer which may be better for some users and also runs on Linux. Please note that virtual worlds require more RAM memory and better graphic cards than everyone has.
