Howzit steemians, its your boy GGUY the saffa vegan guy, global warming just hit sunny Scotland, so it's BBQ/BRAAI time. So to start off with when I say braai I meen it's a South African thing, and this is the hard-core vegan version of a braai. No animals injured in the production of this meal.

Ingredients
2 cups red spit lentils
1cup bread crubs
1 onion
Half a red pepper
4 garlic cloves
4 tablespoons soy sause
1 table spoon agar flakes
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
Half a teaspoon yeast extract

To start start of with we need to cook the red lentils, weird thing is they not red. So 2 cups of red split lentils in water with a pinch of salt.

image

Then grab an onion, 4 cloves of garlic, and half a red pepper.

image

Peel and slice.

image

Lightly oil a pan, and sauté.

image

Add 1 tablespoon agar flakes.

image

image

4 tablespoons soy sause

image

Add the lentils

image

2 teaspoons smoked paprika.

image

1 teaspoon ground coriander.

image

1 cup of bread crumbs

image

Then half a teaspoon yeast extract.

image

Keep on cooking it at a low heat and mix, just for a few minutes.

image

Dump it in the food processor.

image

Then in go's the crumbs, I like to put garlic powder and parsley into the crumbs

image

Then make them into patties and keep them in the freezer.

Then for my favourite part, making the fire.

image

To make potatoes on the braai it is best to parboil the potatoes, then just chuck everything on the braai.

image

Then braai them until golden

image

Then it is just a matter of making some salad whipping up some burgers and pow, absolute splendor on a plate, best of all I got to make a fire.

OK, so there is a bit of work here and it took a few hours, but I had company, a few pints of beer, nevertheless I had fun. It was also quite cheap, and a few beers later rather cheerful, it all costed under 10 dollars, with buns salad and potatoes, the recipe for the burgers is my own. Thanks for checking it out, later steemit peeps.

Looks so delicious, plus can grill em! Hoping you win!

Thanks, ihashblox. That is why I use crumbs, so they don't stick to the grill.
