'Women' - 100 Day Poetry Challenge Day 3
Welcome... To a 100 day journey into the poetic mind of Hart Floe!
I am so excited and honored to be a part of THIS INCREDIBLE CONTEST devised and facilitated by the legend that is @d-pend.
I start everything I do with Gratitude... so thank you my friend for creating such an amazing contest, and thank you to everybody that also participates and supports me along the way... I got your back too y'all!!

This is gonna produce some pure gold from the wonderful community of writers here... I can just feel it!
My name is Hart Floe Poet and I've been writing and performing spoken word and poetry for 2 years now... Which is precisely why I am so excited to find myself here on Steemit, and especially taking part in this contest.
So below is my poem for day 3 of The 100 Day Poetry Challenge.
Women
I’m writing about women today -
Instead of yesterday.
Because we should celebrate women EVERY DAY -
Not just yesterday.
This is the true test of today -
If we can truly come back to balance,
Harmony and unity -
A true reuniting of divinity...
of Sublime Masculine and Feminine energies.
Because this wound needs healing.
It’s been festering for a very long time,
Without the proper care it needs,
To help it heal..
I pray that stars will re-align.
They will align.
It’s a sign -
If the wound won’t heal up then there’s something wrong.
If the melody’s out of pitch,
Then we should sing a new song.
We have to be the scratch that relieves the itch,
That has itched for so long.
We have the hands we need,
They just need to come together.
If we take the time to truly nourish our seeds,
Then the flower may flourish forever.
Women are a treasure,
And should be treasured every day,
Worshipped for the life they bring,
To this beautiful Earth on which we play.
Goddesses.
And Gods.
We were designed to work as one.
But looking at our current affairs…
There’s still so much work that must be done.

I can totally tell you do spoken word (as do I) as this flows so well when spoken out-loud. I read all poetry out-loud to get a feel for cadence and flow as I love the extra sense of hearing being involved, both internal and external.
Very important message here -- Well done, I look forward to your 100 days. :)
Yay thank you! It's nice to know the flow comes through when other people read it too :) I think it's important too to voice the words out loud.. Adding that extra sense adds many extra dimensions I feel!

I agree that women (mothers, wives, daughters, sisters) should be celebrated every day.
Yes... we should all celebrate each other every day.. man or woman.. for this life is precious and we are each wonderful gifts to this world that should be cherished!

Wow...you've already posted for day 3!!
Goes to show how determined you are for this challenge.
Yes, all humanity is equal, be they men or women.
We all are equal. Most people take too long to recognise that fact.
Yes for sure... This poem could also read that men should be celebrated too... I'm a feminist but not to the point that I think men are evil and need to be eradicated haha...
It's the yin and the yang - We need balance and harmony..
That's what I am trying to help us get back to. I realised I was ashamed to be a Man because of what's happened in history... but that doesn't do anybody any good... Now I have taken that shame and reversed it so that I can get back in touch with my true masculine essence and make sure that the new breed of man that I want to represent do what we need to do to make the change we need to make!

Yeah it does seem like a long time... but I'm excited... it's nice to have a definite reason to write every day... and cool stuff is flowing out all over the place from all of us.. it's pretty damn epic :D

Great job celebrating women. Women are the avenue to all creation. Without them life could not exist. And through them we are nurtured and loved. You are right, we should honor them everyday with how we treat and respect them. Lovin this poem.
