Entry 1 | 参赛作品1

This little botanic life grew out of a brick laid floor. All around it are bricks and concrete floor. What I think is also befitting of it falling into the minimalism subject is it survive void of care - mimimal life support given. This was shot at a school I practice taiji yesterday.

这小植物从铺着砖块地板生长出来。周围都是砖块和水泥铺的地板。我觉得它生存照于无人照顾的环境-简单的方式生长。这是昨天在练太极的学校拍的。

Entry 2 | 参赛作品2

The fact that this boat has minimal colour is obvious - a steemy colour if you will. If you look closely, you will see another aspect of it that falls under mimimalism - it is only operated by human peddling only - sans power. This was shot in Singapore Discovery Center yesterday.

这船很明显只有一色-蓝。算简单。如果你仔细看，你会看到它有另外一个简单的一面 - 没有引擎或其他外来动力 - 只能靠人的脚力运作。这是在昨日在知新馆拍的。

Entry 3 | 参赛作品3

This sculpture of a man practising taiji (or taichi) is in a quite raw minimal formed from a white rock. Yet, it demonstrates to me a stroke called 玉女穿梭 in Chinese. There's some translation I found but I don't quite think they are correct. I prefer to translate to - Fair lady threading needle. I have this Chinese taiji book：

这是一个艺术品。一个白色的岩石雕出的形似一个练太极拳的人。每一个人的全像但我仍然看出他打的是玉女穿梭一式。我有这本关于太极拳的书：

In this book, a page shows how the stroke is completed thus (back facing):
