I wish all of you are as great as usual.

Today, I feel pleased because I'll share a story about my first school day in welcoming our new students in this academic year 2018-2019. Hopefully you will feel so when you read this writing. At least, just give me your sweet smiling, not your confusion because of misunderstanding on what I wrote.

Well, I believe you certainly want to know what kind of activity we did for welcoming our new students. Here I start the story.

##SILA in Sukma##

SILA, Student Initiation with Love and Affection, is the annual agenda of Sukma Bangsa Lhokseumawe for welcoming the new students to the school (It's called "Masa Orientasi Siswa" or most well known as "MOS" in other schools of my country). It usually lasts for several days which take place in the school area. Teachers have already prepared some fun activities (including Nature Camp) in order to build the new students' awareness of the school culture and their understanding of the power of teamwork. Besides, it also aims to embed in such good characters as one of the goals in SILA; honest, respect, confident, and responsible. At last, it has been proven that SILA is successfully teach the students about how important to be one big family in Sukma Bangsa School.

No bullying, no cheating, no smoking, and no littering are a part of the school culture. Always smile, greet each other, be polite, and respect should be practiced during the school day and also in our students' daily life.

##One Story at SILA##

What made fun was the way both teachers and the new students introduced each other. The students were sitting on the floor in a circle. They were in groups of 10 members, meanwhile the teachers were sitting on the chairs in the middle of the groups. Then, students took turn to ask many questions to the teachers. They asked for identifying the teachers' identity, status, and professionalism in teaching.

When the instructor said "move", all of members moved one step further to another group to talk with other target teachers. They asked the same or might be different questions to them.

How great experiences they had. They tried to find as much as information about their teachers of the school. I noticed that many of the students were so brave and confident in interacting with their new teachers. They were cheerful and looked happy. On the other hand, there were also some students who felt shy and afraid to ask something so that they just rewrote what their pals wrote in the worksheet.

At the end of the game, the students should recognize all teachers they have interviewed before. They pointed at the teachers soon after they mentioned her/his descriptions. Laughing came when the student made mistake by pointing at the wrong teacher. They looked enjoy and engage with the teachers through this kind of activity.
