" Mom, It's A Skewer!" ...

"Shut up! It's A Cheeseless Burger For Me!" ...

"But Mom.."

That was Felix trying to convince her Mom her vegetable skewer is no way to be mistaken as a cheese less burger. So goes their conversation further ... or perhaps ... it's more appropriate to call it - an argument.

Felix :" Mom, it's a skewer! Everyone could tell."

Mom: " Shut up Felix, they won't say a word. I've only seen them saying great post! That looks delicious! So they would just comment the same thing - you'll see."

Felix: " But Mom, have you seen @meesterboom's food post? You don't even have a walk through nor your names on the pictures that's just two of the must do in the announcement."

Mom: " What are you talking about Felix.?"

Felix: " Geez ~~ Mom, you didn't even read the announcement?" And your pictures ~~ Holy Moly Mom, you don't expect your entry to win right?"

This is what Felix was talking about ...

Mom: " Who cares Felix - who cares about pictures? They just want us to join."

Felix: " Geez Mom, you really should go around food posts in Steemit. Have you seen @gringalicious' food posts? Her pictures are so clear and awesomely put up that they even were featured in magazines."

Mom: " Shut up Felix! I have to make dough to send you to school so don't expect me to do that and no one has joined yet so - zip it! You're stressing me out."

Felix: " But Mom, you don't really want to insult the guest judge - they specifically asked for a Cheeseless Burger. Plus, haven't you read the trending pages? Whales like Ned and the rest are even talking about good quality post. They want us to thrive in Steemit Mom. You're not helping."

Mom: "Geez Felix, you have time to read all that? Who cares ~~ I'm just here to get rich quick. Anyway, I'll be off for two days for the project we're working at the office. I won't be able to see who wins so text me if I did. No one has put up anything yet and it's just a day away to winner's announcement - so - you'll never know - 25 SBD you're mine!"

Felix: What ever Mom~~."

Mom: " Felixxxxx!!!!!

Mom: " You're grounded Felix! Now, give me your wif keys ..."

Okay, this is me talking now. Have you read the theme announcement for the Steemit Culinary Challenge? Yes, it was at the bottom of the winner's announcement. If you did - then you know I put up "Mom's Skewer entry" on the theme pic. Yes, I did it on purpose cause I needed to get some things straight with you all if you're joining the SCC.

Only @opheliafu tried getting it straight with me yesterday and very tactfully - not on the announcement itself but on my reply to her art post. I tried to pretend that I didn't get her because I need to - not spoil this. So it must be only her who cares about sending the right message and thank you @opheliafu for that.

On the contrary, @meesterboom, too. Though he put up a very kind reply on the theme announcement - we talked about it in the chat. I told him about this without spilling the details cause I don't want to spoil this to him either. Yes, this last part - I wrote just while formatting this.

If you click on the theme announcement I already have changed the picture. I really wanted to find an honest comment - one that meant it. You all mean well, I see that - and everyone is very kind to say only kind words. If you have seen - the rows of pictures that came before "Mom's skewer entry" - they are all "wowza!" as @richman calls it - then came that skewer entry screaming in red - " Cheeseless Burger". We could also be kind and tell what's wrong, or needs to be fixed or needs to be done - tactfully.

It's good to encourage newbies cause they really need it. However, if you have been here for more than a month, you're no longer a newbie no matter how low your reputation it. Step it up and Steemit like a pro if you don't want @ats-david come after you saying your post suck and he's telling everyone. Have you read that post?
