STEEMIT Culinary Challenge # : 1 SNIFFLE REMEDY SOUP

Today, We're launching The Steemit Culinary Challenge #1. This challenge is the rebirth of @givemeyoursteem's Food Challenge. The later has helped many kitchen geniuses get discovered and so I took the initiative to bring it back.

The Steemit Culinary Challenge would go on each weekend and has the same intent of promoting the very same intent @givemeyoursteem had when she started the Steemit Food Challenge which you can read on this post.

Special Thanks to @jamtaylor for the encouragement to take the initiative and do it.

A THANK YOU shoutout for the Steemit Culinary Challenge Logo to @oaldamster!

Since it's already autumn and rainy days on many parts of the earth now sniffles are back even in some tropical countries so for this week the theme is Steemit Culinary Challenge is

SNIFFLE REMEDY SOUP.

Can you come up with a tasty "not boring"SNIFFLE REMEDY SOUP.?

Cite sources to prove how your soup qualifies as a sniffle remedy.

Show us what you got! But wait! Read the MUST DO LIST below to make sure your entry qualifies!

Title your entry this way : "STEEMIT CULINARY CHALLENGE : Title of your Dish" .

Tag your SNIFFLE REMEDY SOUP post with #steemitculinarychallenge , #food-trail and #steemtrail

TAKE PICTURES OF THE STEP BY STEP PROCESS YOU TOOK because unlike other recipe blog sites, in Steemit - we over deliver.

ONLY ONE ENTRY per participant would be counted so submit your very best! If you still submit more than one ONLY YOUR FIRST ENTRY would be counted.

Deadline of Submission is no later than Sunday at 12 midnight UTC +2

ONLY ENTRIES OF VERIFIED AUTHORS would qualify.

To make sure that your work is yours and is not plagiarized or copy pasted from the internet and to make sure that we won't be rewarding a thief DO EITHER ONE OF THESE:

a: Have your picture taken holding the recipe you've cooked.

b: Have your Steemit badge or the paper that says STEEMIT+ date +@yoursteemitaccountname on each of the picture on your entry. The picture should be laid on top or next to your dish entry to make sure it wasn't just photoshoped. Remember, @steamcleaners and @cheetah would go after you.

c: Write your Steemit name on each picture to claim it really is yours.

Include this disclaimer in your post : By entering this competition though you own the rights to the photographs of your entry you acknowledge that I may use any image in that entry once it gets chosen as one of the winners.

Recipes would be counter checked and photos would be double checked to make sure we don't reward anything plagiarized and stolen from other people's work.

BE ORIGINAL! Encourage everyone to help in counter-checking - your co-participant's work. If you find someone's work elsewhere shout it out tactfully.

Criteria for judging:

ORIGINALITY is based on owning your recipe and how related it is to the theme. It could be passed on to you by your nana or ancestors and if has a clone recipe elsewhere which is inevitable - be sure that you've changed it and made it YOUR OWN version. Recipes that have been copied and are already existing on the net would not get any points on originality to make it fair to everyone who's doing their best tweaking or making their own version of a recipe.

SUSTAINABLE INGREDIENTS is about being able to use ingredients that are available everywhere and could grow or last for the whole year to give anyone who would look back at your recipe a chance to do it. Remember, everything stays in this block chain and we want to leave a legacy for future users. Make that legacy worth looking back at!

NUMBER OF UPVOTES is the number of Steemians who upvoted your entry not the amount your entry have gathered.

DOABILITY is very important. Make your recipe presentation idiot proof to make it re- doable. Gather extra points for posting you recipe step by steps and spice it up with your OWN photos with your picture on it or your STEEMIT badge if you must!

FOOD STYLING is mainly on how you presented your recipe. Challenge your excuses - if you can shoot the step by step process do it. Steemit is going world wide so let's make Culinary Challenge reader friendly for non - English speakers.

OVERALL PRESENTATION is about having your post professionally published. If you have borrowed the recipe else where in the net or you have tweaked it but it already exist in the net, don't forget to write your sources. Extra points for posting well edited and entries that talk as if the reader is being walked through the process.

Be creative, go to your neighbor if you must to ask for help to translate your recipe to proper English. I have seen some recipes in the past that has contents that could shock the reader. That post once said "Slice kid thinly" - it was a chicken casserole I gave a feedback about and the reader got the chance to edit. Some words from another language translates differently in English. It is important to get the message through our reader crystal clear. Ask authors who do translations to help you and don't forget to reciprocate.

WINNERS would be announced as soon as everything has been checked.
Announcement of winners would be in a post. I've decided not to set a certain day to announce winners since we both know what happened the last time. Please take it into consideration that I have no idea how many entries would be flooding in so just wait for the announcements! Remember, we have grown.

PRIZES WOULD BE TRANSFERRED DIRECTLY TO THE WINNERS WALLET BY THE DELEGATED SPONSORS. NOTHING WOULD GO THROUGH ME. I hope that's clear to every one.

Good idea! Perhaps I should participate :)

This will be interesting to watch. I'll like to time like prep time, cook time.
OK, forget about the clean up time, we all hate that.

@ace108 would you like to join?
This was what I was asking for - translations - not this article but those who'd join.

No i won't be joining this. Translation wise, i may have problem with the ingredients. Some ingredients cannot translate easy between English and Chinese. That's the technicalities i am worry about but can give try.

@ace108 I see , I almost wrote some names of who could help translate but I've decided not to cause they haven't gotten back I was also thinking of @traducciones, @nelyp @juanmiguelsalas @dresden for Spanish to English - you for Chinese to English and @borishaifa for Russian to English but I wasn't sure they'd be up helping but I've read their blogs and yours too so I thought ask you but it's okay man thank you!

For the things I'm not sure I can get help from Google translate. When I did the papa-pepper post, I thought it was interesting. I remember the one time that stumped me was pickling salt. Being not a person who I cook, I could not tell if the translation from google translate for that was OK. So, I just make a note of the English name for reference just in case.
We have German folks too other than Spanish and Russian that I am aware of.

@ace108 no I wasn't asking you about cooking, I never saw you cooked peace haha
I was talking about translation - don't make this steemit chat ahahha
yeah but the Germans can manage
they speak English very well - I've been to several places in Germany and most of them do and very well, too.
anyway - go to chat haha!
