What's Cooking Challenge - Pan Seared Salmon, Sweet Potato Hash and Roasted Cauliflower

A couple of weeks ago Sheila and I went out to dinner with our granddaughter, Morgan. Morgan and I both ordered the salmon. It was yummy. After that I knew I had to try and make it a home. So this is my twist on the dish. I think that it actually came out better than the restaurant's!

Driving Elvis from Las Vegas to Colorado

@Nowian.man drives the moving truck, me I'm lagging behind in Little Red with Elvis at my side. I know what you're probably wondering, Little Red is the name of our Toyota pickup truck. This story happens during our move from Las Vegas over the Rocky Mountains into Loveland, Colorado, around 17 years ago. See my memory is in tack sometimes, well I asked my husband the time line.

Are women who dress provocatively responsible for unwanted attention?

I have again been a little absent, my last post was 5 days ago but I managed to return without much delay. Since I was a little short of ideas and brainstorming seemed so exhausting at the moment, I decided to go to my favorite place for ideas- @ecotrain. There I found the latest question of the week (QOTW) that the passengers had answered and I decided to do it too. So the question is: Are women who dress provocatively responsible for unwanted attention or should men learn to control themselves?

Sometimes the meds do more harm than good

Friends, the Focalin does not work for me. I am a giant emotional mess thanks to what I think of as prescription whiplash. Day One on the meds left me tired. They smashed through my system, and I was able to focus, but I was anxious and jittery. Day Two I paired them with a half dose of my anti-anxiety medicine. I felt less jittery but even more wiped out when they wore off. Day Three I repeated the process only to spiral into hopelessness and uncontrollable crying as the Focalin left my system.

I am not very good with words, I just want to make this shout out to those I really think are Awesome People!! First, @lynncoyle1 for her thank you post A Big Thank You to @paulag and @joelai from Brian and I. From here I get to read @paulag’s post where she dedicated the pay-out of her post as a gift to Lynn and Brian, plus sending through wallet a very generous gift, in a wish for both to enjoy a lovely dinner out. CBD Oil ❤️️ Where Have You Been All My Life

Last week I started taking CBD Oil for the first time. All I can say is that, “WHY DIDN’T I START TAKING IT SOONER!” Seriously though, it’s truly amazing stuff and I have been blown away with the difference it has made in my life.

Drowning in her Voice - Original Poem & Reading

Personification in poetry is an age-old technique which can be used to improve the effect of a poem in a number of ways. It is a fantastic way to create a comic voice in poetry as shown in Sharon Hendricks poem Dinnertime Chorus which describes her dinner with a kind of bubbling auditory cadence. The over all effect is perfectly absurd as it builds an impression of the teacups and pot chattering to each other.
