Are followers of any use?
What is the use of followers?
Do I need them at all? I noticed I have some and some have hundreds or even thousands of followers. What is the use of it?
Since my posts are hardly read or get hardly any response or upvote I wonder what you people use it for. It feels like all these so called friends on facebook. Those friends who never talk to you. So what is the benefit of followers for me?/
I myself follow a Steemian because I like the writing style or subjects.
This way I can find this person back or hope to find the new posts written by this person back easier. I try to read and respond on what is written, but I have to admit it is not always easy. There are many posts I do not understand because of the subject or the specific words used or the kind of English used.
I also use the resteem option more frequently.
Mainly because there are posts I want to reread and I do not know how else to find it back. I do not know if this is the idea of it or?

I wonder if I did learn more about Steemit in the past month.
Some people were willing to help me out or answer a question to make things more clear. I am very grateful to them. Once in a while I bump into something really interesting, so thaks for sharing these posts.
But... after all these time I still do not know how Steemit works. I mean if it comes to the basic things. Should I upvote or not (my votingpower always seems to be 0 if I check it out).
I do not know why I should buy bandwith, what to do with the wallet, the steempower or Steem or?
Thanks to some posts over here I am interested again in crypto coins again.
Last year I did invest a bit in Bitcoin and Ethereum. Well Bitcoin turns out to be a big waste untill now and Ethereum is doing better.
Who knows the other 3 I invested in only a few days ago, will bring some profit to us (my children there education needs to be payed otherwise they need to find a job at the age of 14). To be honest I have doubts about Bitcoin it's future. It does not seem to be able to arise from it's ashes. The Cabal will be happy about that.
And if you wonder how come I know so less because it should be possible to 'get all the help that is possible over here": Discord is pity enough no option for me. I do join some groups but my connection is so bad I can seldom load the app.

Interesting topic.
I follow steem users for the same reason you do, to discover future posts of them more easily. I also like to respond but since many write about more than that one topic I follow them for there are a lot of posts in my feed that I don't interact with in any way.
I guess that is the idea of followers. The more people you follow the less possible it is to pay them all a daily visit and check out their posts.
Well I saw your post via a resteem but I agree I hardly get any comments and upvotes I do get are normally bots lol I crave human interaction on my posts like I’m thinking I need to be more edgy with my content so I can elicit a reaction! I don’t think followers are important now not because of the function but because of the sites current user experience! If I can get notifications when people I follow post I’d be more likely to interact! Most of the posts I comment and upvote I reallt have to put some effort into finding
The thing is at Steemit followers are not important. Ot takes a lot of time to find good content and content of your interest as well. Also it is a complete different way of communicating and hard to make friends. 10 or 20 followers who would really follow you would do. The ones who asked me to join left already.
