Hello dear steemit friends,

So Friends today i want to share some of my own thoughts on why are people leaving Steemit and is this a right solution of their problems.

Soo i recommend many of my friends to join steemit and start their own account here most of them just ignored my recommendation but some of them joined steemit.

The main problem was started when they post something and didn't get attention of this community soo they continuously asking me about how can they grow up their blog on steemit and i give them all answers of their problems but the main problem is not that they didn't get attention on steemit but the main problem is they take steemit as a money generation machine and writing anything without a proper research and analysis and the end result of this that they didn't get attention of this community,

Well i read their posts and i really feel one thing common in all those posts that they are writing content just like they used to on 'Facebook' or 'Instagram' but Friends this site is not like Facebook or Instagram, this site is pay you based of what content or value you provide to the community and if you post only garbage content then don't expect that this community will pay you anything for that.

Most of my friends leaving Steemit and many of them already left steemit just because they didn't able to earn the money what they desired to earn before they joined steemit but sadly i have to say that all of them are really doing a wrong thing because this site is not a "ATM Machine" where you put content and cash out in return of them and also you didn't Invest anything here so you are expecting a huge return from this community,

So my friends all i wants to say that don't leave this community and Improve your writing skills and write some good and orignal contents then i can assures you that you can get what you Desires from this community.

Please share your own view and experience about this problem in the comments below.thanks :)

Hi @thecrytotrader,

I only recently joined Steemit on recommendation of a good friend.

While still finding out how Steemit actually works, what it tries to become, whether bots are useful and okay to use or counter productive to Steemit's mission, and what that means for the kind of posts I publish, I regularly find myself thinking that for the main stream of potential steemians an easy, down-to-earth manual of the basic do's and don'ts would come in very handy.

From what I notice most people join because someone told them "it's like FB but you're making money!" So, no wonder lots of rubbish and spam is being published: they think it's FB!

I was so eager to publish (1. I saw posts making money and wanted the same, 2. I wanted to have a 'portfolio', 3. I wanted to reach people in different communities fast) that I saw myself posting just a picture and a meaningless sentence.

But I am learning fast (I hope) and day by day I get a clearer view of what I think this platform wants to be(come) and try act accordingly.

I guess, what I am trying to say is, that I agree with your post and in addition to it: I think a lot of spam can be prevented if aspiring new members know better what they're actually joining and what the rules are, maybe in some sort of two trap registering procedure.

At least an extensive do's and dont's manual would have helped me out a lot. And, no, it would not have stopped me from joining ;-)

Of course you can let new members find it out all by themselves but the consequence of it will always be: bad content for at least the first few months.

Well thanks for writing a detailed and well framed Comment @hatsekidee i am agree with your point and thank god we have Steemcleaners and cheetah bot to take care of these spammers and copy-pasters but the main point is we have to find the people who are really dedicated to this platform not join just for Earning quick money and right now we have just 400000 Accounts on steemit and once this site got the attention of the bigger part of the population then we are going to see the real evolution of steemit and the early adopters are going to proud on their decision to join steemit at early stages and gain Reputation in less competitive environment.

I hear you @crytotrader,

I think the task will be: getting dedicated people to join a platform that does at first sight look like an unclear version of FB (I am talking from the perspective of an aspiring member who checks out Steemit for the first time now). It's hard to immediately see the pearl hidden in that vast ugly shell (not talking about the design, that's fine!).

You're right, it takes time and effort and above all good content to really get involved, but it must also be possible, somehow, to stop some of the 'copy-pasters' from joining Steemit in the first place, and to keep new members safe from making the same rooky mistakes we all made by supplying them with an easy to-do-and-don't-list before they can enter their first post.

Or something like that. I am just thinking out loud here.

Good content providers are not neccessarily tech savy people willing and able to go through all this trouble. Most of them just want to publish their work with a push of a button. Their energy already went into their writing and drawing and photographing, etcetera. So I think something will have to be done about that in the long run. Preferably before the bigger part of the population comes in ;-)

You seem like you have the complications well figured out. I had and still have these troubles. Because it is so hard to get started here, I wrote this old post with a lot of tips to help minnows get started on steemit. At least if you can get some rewards coming in it will give some encouragement in the struggle. I hope this helps you.

Well, I don't know how well I've figured out those complications @fitinfun :-D
I am just thinking out loud here and experimenting and making the best of it. I am still 'struggling' with this thin line between quality content, commenting for gain (rather than genuine interest), making use of bots, etcetera. But the link you provided was helpful for at least one of those topics. I am a little wiser now. Thanks for that!
I am keeping trackof you now as a follower.

The thing that makes people leave is lack of patience. The first thing that they see when they log in are the trending posts that make more than $200. Then they think wow I'm going to earn that money aswell! But then their first 3 posts make 15 cents and they resign thinking, that this community is stupid cause it doesn't respect their work. Patience is the only way forward my friends, remember about it!

Very well said my friend because here on steemit patience is the key to our success and always set a realistic goal and then archive that goal and then set a new goal higher then the last one.

Absolutely right. If you have money, invest in steem and carry on unless build the reputation with original and good contents..

Ya exactly that's the point because there is no short cuts for getting success on steemit :)

Great post
Your are absolutely right. most of the people join steemit to earn huge from it.this is right but what they do is copy/paste ,low quality content, low writing skills and desire to earn lots of dollar from it.
If you want to earn from steemit then first earn some writing skills and improve your reputation in the community.

Ya that's right and you can only improve your reputation in this community by writing good content and Supporting others content also.

You just got a new follower:)

Thanks for that :)

I was very surprised that @winstonwolfe has decided to take a break from Steemit. He has a very high reputation. I myself stopped posting for about 3 months. Steemit is a blogging platform not a simple sharing platform like instagram and facebook so it does take work and time to build a following here. Newbies need to realize this and like everything in life you get out what you put in. 😉

Ya that's true you got my point :)

Somme people without a lot of followers prefer just reading articles.

:) well reading is also a good thing because it's helpful for gaining more knowledge :)

true saying
I think alot of people dont know strength, they think about their 'posts' as only way of earning, but comments give earnings too. They dont realize this and thus copy alot of things :)

Well we have Cheeta for take care of that copy and paste thing, :)

Good day @thecrytotrader

you have a amazing point there, my writing skills may not be the best but im surely trying to write something good for the community so is there any advise you could give me?

Thanks buddy and read this post iam sure this will help you with a lot of points about steemit :) (https://steemit.com/steemit/@thecrytotrader/16-golden-rules-to-get-success-on-steemit-must-read)
