Steem UA - User Authority
There is a new sheriff in town, reputation-wise
pic modified from @scipio's original
I'll be upfront about this; I was searching through Steemit looking for steemers to auto-curate when I ran across this project.
I was stoked when I saw that little ol me had a UA rank of 505...in the top 1000 of Steemers and damn near in the top 500!
OK, Steve, you can stop bragging on yourself now...What IS User Authority?
In essence, UA can be seen as a new Reputation metric: it looks at the entire Steemit Follower Graph and carefully tracks who follows who. It doesn't directly care about how "rich" an account is, or how old it is, or how much an account has posted, but please keep in mind that those factors do indeed indirectly influence any account's UA score.
@taskmaster4450
Partly developed to combat spam, the UA concept also seeks to avoid reputation manipulation within the system.
Of course, every system is open to manipulation at some level...
this is merely a UA representation right now. Things could change drastically now that UA is out in "the wild", making people more aware of who to (un)follow.
@scipio
Check your own UA scores...
Be aware it requires a SteemConnect login

Interesting...my score isn't nearly your level, but around 4500 rank. Not that it matters in the least, but sure someone out there cares.
Wanted to say if you are looking for potentially good people to manually curate take a look at the Curation Contest entries on @pifc. At least 1 and normally 2 featured bloggers get picked up by curie each week from the entries and a ton of other good ones there. Anyways wasn't coming here to link drop, but wanted to check out your posts after seeing you took some action on that spammer. Thanks for that!
no prob on that!
my writing has been off for a bit, but its good to know about options to get it out there
[edit: you meant that I could manually curate ;> there is a reason my writing has been off lately ;> ]
Thanks!
I have been tossing around the idea of making a vote trail for @pifc. The trail would only upvote the featured bloggers and would use a 3sp account so all the curation would go to those in the trail.
This would allow people to give some votes to smaller steemians who have been manually curated.
We set one up for @informationwar, but it's aimed more at rewarding the creators. I'm going to take a look at @pifc this week and see if i can fit it into my workflow.
isn't that wonderful?
I worked pretty hard to get my rep of 73..
I followed all the rules,
no bots.
now this..
lovely.
have you check your score there? you might end up higher than you think
My ua score is 5.949 and I have a ua rank of 300
what does it mean?
I couldn't find the pretty graphs and charts..
to start with, you score higher than me LOL
I can't explain the score to specifics, but the rank (the important one IMO) says that you have the 300th best score on steemit
congrats!
the graph is a normal pareto distribution ; the one included is provided by one of their devs, but I edited to highlight my own accomplishment
...which you went and made look all worthless ROFL ;>
oh...my score is good then?
who knew?
this platform is going to change and change...and change...until we're done with beta
no of know nuthin!
and i bet that includes the devs
