Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 4/2/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 4/2/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today..

It's February already what happened to the first month? Regardless we must continue to remember that there's a possibility that Steem might fall down even further than January's lowest this is due to Steemit-INC powerdowns. As for Bitcoin's part it was interesting how the previous falls show Steem being barely affected, but now that seems to be catching-up along with the news of some other exchange problems leading-up to this lower price from $0.43. Still Bitcoin's latest downwave was on the 28th and Bitcoin's highest was in Jan at $4075 but it fell to $3491, the 4th downwave for Bitcoins sent them from $3531 down to $3387 and we dont seem to be recovering yet. Yesterday we could say it was a similar morning to the previous day except Steem was generally slowly and yes hard to see but going upwards, it was difficult to this until around ⏰05.55 and soon after at ⏰06.45 we saw Steem reach above the $0.30 mark to $0.31. Which is a better start to the month than back in January. Steem was holding on at the $0.30 mark but today already by ⏰00.15 fell below the $0.30 mark to $0.29 and from ⏰07.30 Steem had fallen to $0.28 many times, but remain there till ⏰18.15 when it managed to get back to $0.29. You can still take the risk on waiting for possibly one of the biggest opportunities to buy Steem as the Steemit account is powering down, PANIC mode ON!? Let's not.. This whole thing is important yes because that account held around 44 million Steem! If the powerdown's don't stop in 13 weeks all that Steem will be tokenized meaning the price of Steem will drop by ALOT. While this means the end of days for some we still don't know how exactly Steem-INC are handling this move but I feel this Steem will probably go into other accounts and therefore keeping Steem price steady. And no I don't believe they are running away with the money, it seems they are protecting it due to some threats. If nothing much happens in 2019 then I hope those who are in the game will take the opportunity to keep collecting Steem especially if the Steemit account continues to power down. You should know that Steem at these low prices and with the Steem power-downs it places us on a survival mode era basically Bitcoin dropped drastically forcing Steem's value to tank causing Steem-INC staff reductions, a possible threat to the website and the Steemit's account security. The conclusion is to cut down the costs of nodes. Hivemind is now live the "steemd" instance size's went from 488GB RAM to now shockingly 61GB RAM! Focus is on a multi index RocksDB adapter which is a new technology in development to allow the Steem blockchain nodes to store almost all of it's necessary data to a disk in a modern database instead of RAM, this move will make nodes cheaper. Ned also said recently that the cost reduction progress will still remain above the creation of SMT's which I feel is the right move. Also nodes continue to run well on hivemind and which it was only made possible thanks to AppBase. Yesterday we actually started the day back at $0.88, SBD's were still going upwards and while we did go over the $0.90 mark and reached $0.92 SBD's couldn't get away from being pulled back down to $0.89 every time. And today we started almost by doing the same. For example today at ⏰01.00 SBD's were once again at $0.92 but while SBD's did fall back to $0.89 again it took alot longer, as to reach back down to $0.89 it took SBD's till ⏰07.50 so yes a very slow decline. From there we bumped mostly between $0.90 and $0.89 but also had 2 downbumps taking SBD's to $0.88 the first being at ⏰09.50.
