Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 2/1/2019 I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com many have came here to discuss the daily Steem prices and changes for just over 2 years now.

I also want to mention just incase your thinking something doesn't seem normal from the other regular Price update posts that the daily Steem price posts do slightly change from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as its important for your daily plan or strategy and honestly even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and keeping an eye on the price, so without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price Change for 2/1/2019

Should you be trading with Steem today..

Well here we are on the other side it's 2019 you made it Happy New Year, I know some of you were still in hopes of seeing Steem rising upwards to $2.00 but unfortunately as expected that didn't happen, if your new and wondering why there was such expectations of Steem going up this is because last year we started with the price of Steem and SBD simply "booming"! Anyway this year we left 2018 with the Steem price at $0.26 and now 2019 Steem is at $0.28 which is a little higher than yesterday the upbump happened at ⏰12.10 it's good to see 2 greens for Steem starting the year. Just a reminder that we have already been told.. and I have already mentioned that unless anything changes we can expect most of 2019 to be pretty dull when it comes to the Steem's price. If that does happen to be the case then I hope all of you who are in this game with me will be strong and take this opportunity to keep on collecting Steem Power before it gets too difficult to obtain. Remember at these low prices we are still on this survival mode era of Steemit.com as Bitcoin's value dropped drastically forcing Steem's own value to tank causing "Steem INC" staff reductions and a possible threat to the website. Soon after this news the conclusion was to survive by cutting down costs of nodes among other strategies which will still take its time to implement. The good news is with recent change and development Ned said we should be able to save enough money to make it past this bear market. This is amazing news but only speculation we now still need to actually do it and survive the low market. Steemit INC said that they are on track with it's cost reductions, RocksDB and moving forwards with SMT's. Bitcoin as also been on the move this time going upwards which was expected for day 2, people have come back now and checked the prices and saw a cheaper deal so brought some, also when it comes to SBD's it continues the same as yesterday, a very steady flow but managed a upbump which happened at 13.10.
