Good day Steemian and welcome, this is more than just a price update on the Steem cryptocurrency for 17/5/2024, under the hood it's been a 7 year project.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com back in 2016 along with other content, plus I have attended many Steem official events and represented Steem at smaller events.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price and recent Steemit changes for over 7 years.

There also as never been a single power down made on this account since that time "7 years", our mission is to retain and rise the price of Steem for the benefit of us all. We do this by not only holding STEEM but by also buying into STEEM from time to time. All this rises the price of STEEM meaning your investment goes up in value and so does your earning rewards.

I'm sure we all want a better future for Steem and so casting your upvote here keeps Steem locked to raise it's value for us all. Most of the players in the crypto sphere are only here for some quick and shady profits before they just decide to get up and disappear but we have been here for the long run and would like to see Steem remained a strong and reliable token.

If you tire of addictively looking at the charts every few minutes then instead just relax and look here for the average STEEM price for your daily plan or strategy.

May 2024-Bitcoin reached over "70.000" again on March 25th and so the high season isn't done just yet thankfully. We had yet another fall from Bitcoin and likely you have witnessed recently some of the many bearish traps for investors to try and navigate. So who knows when the bullrun will be truly over, I mention bitcoin because it can be a indication on the direction that Steem will follow. However not a lot of movement from our own token this time round compared to previous years which is very sad. Perhaps we have to be more patient, others would argue that it almost doubled since it's bottom, and so while that was something to celebrate Steem as done much better in the past. However that does mean that Steem itself is essentially still wide open price wise for the smart and smaller investors💰. Last night I went to sleep just past the usual late hour, slightly better from yesterday but disappointing, this was due to being out with friends but mostly because I done a few things before dinner. When I did go to rest thankfully it didn't take me long to fall asleep, I was really worried I was going to be hearing the bang metal noise that I described yesterday from the previous night, at one point I thought I was going mad😵. When I did fall asleep I woke-up 25 minutes before my scheduled alarm as I was receiving messages, I tried going back to sleep and did without much issue. I woke-up to the alarm and started to rest past it, the alarm was already set for later than usual as I wanted to make sure to get enough sleep. As for the weather this morning it's much brighter compared to yesterday but still not exactly a clear day like we had for those 5 straight days. It was a late start to the day but luckily no work to get in for and like this giving me the chance to get a few basic chores done. Also I was glad to have a nice break from work before having this meeting tomorrow with my boss, which I worry will bring mostly bad news🤦‍♂️. The new guy at work who I assumed was from another site and had been transferred to work at ours is actually just here for around 4 weeks training to be a superior for another worksite. My colleague who normally deals with the extra work as been training another colleague all this week so that they can set it for us. And I believe this coming week he will train another colleague to do it, yes that will be the one who said that I wasn't being very encouraging or supportive enough of him. Well unlike the others I can't help but speak the truth🤷‍♂️, it's not him.. the work itself is not easy, and I wont sugar coat it!🍭. Spent the rest of the day caring for the cats🐈, later I went online to see if friends were on, I was surprised nobody turned up. I still got to update one more friend that I wont be going at all to the event but he is already set for the event and so there's no rush. I'm very annoyed with work 🤬 for not giving me the time off but I don't like that kind of thing getting to me and so I'm brushing it off and moving on. I know that's what the overlords want you to do anyway because they don't care, as work always comes first but I'm doing it for myself. As for Steemit.com there as been talks about doing PR for the site which as all been done before and while in one way adding more people could help the value of Steem I believe it would be better to try and educate those who are already with us. And I don't mean education on creating content but rather on how the site and the token is valued "again not by it's content" but instead by holding Steem, buying etc. Others are working on updating the look of the Steemit.com website to something more "modern" I was very worried about this but the changes aren't anything drastic. They have got to the point of having alpha testers. What I would like to see is just easier excess to all parts of the website. Sometimes I feel have to be too much on the right page to get to where I want to go.. if that makes sense. Onwards there as been mostly promises of war happening everywhere, more countries are slowly getting and warning their citizens to prepare for war. Such a war in this day and age will be devastating and so we must continue to work to remain at peace and not fight in wars that don't belong to us. Before we finish I would like to ask if anybody can recommend any website to watch movies or series for free without a VPN, a upvote will be sent if it's good.
